Re: Sale Sharks
Burger, Tuitupou and Sheridan
for
SOB, Steyn and Flatman/Catt
---
It's a good start mate. Really don't want to sell Steyn, but there's potential here. Would have to include Wilko though I think, as don't see Sheridan as a gain really, as he has a low rating on here and is so injury prone.

Okay mate, I thought you were keen seeing as you said you might get in McCaw. We could include others to even out the deal
Wilson could be available, although Thompstone isn't my player, he's on loan from Irish

I'll hold on mate, definately something we could deal on, but LH and FH are the next two areas I'm looking to improve upon, so depending on my next deal, I'll be back!

Re: Sale Sharks
Starting XV isn't up to date, think i probably still have Donald starting, which i haven't been doing. Catt starts over Flatman for me.
Vesty is the cover at 15, played there loads for us this season, I think it is his best position.
I know who Charles is mate and whilst I've been impressed with him, i'm not really interested. Pretty sure he only cost you about 3m.
For me to lose Steyn, a man in his prime, i need some real gains. Wilko is a better bet than Donald right now, but I think Donald will come good next year and Wilko will retire soon, so not a long term option
Can't see Imiloek, who wouldn't start ahead of Catt as enough of an improvement and not fussed about Charles.
Maybe Mullipola or Thomas or maybe even Sheridan could be involved?

Fair enough, just can't really see it being worth the risk. Imiloek isn't enough of a gain for me to lose Steyn

Re: Sale Sharks
Mainly a big loosehead for now. So big interest in Mullipola and maybe Sheridan. Wilko is a possibility also.
Not looking to lose big though mate, as I have the cash to spend on a foreign and some targets up my sleeve!

Re: Sale Sharks
See my problem is JJ is a tighthead whilst Sheridan is a LH and in his twilight years. Henre Fourie may not find a spot in the Sale back row when he comes back and Smith is a young talented winger.

Re: Sale Sharks
Yea but not as much.
Obviously somebody like Goosen would require 10-16m as he's developing into a top non Int 10. Somebody with no top flight caps around 3m and upwards depending on experience/potential.
It'll be tough to judge tbh so each bid will be on merit

I could improve on my offer above, and chuck in Paice/Whitehead for Charles? Would give you an EQ and probable starting hook.

That's ok mate, offers always encouraged!
Wilko, Burger, Tuitupou and H.Fourie
for
Donald, SOB, Steyn and and Mercer
---
Not a bad start, but not interested in Fourie. If you could find another gain for me in this part of the deal, we might be close. Thomas, Miller, Seymour perhaps?

Just not sure mate, can't really see it as a big enough gain, as Wilko on his last legs and losing SOB means I lose an 8, as burger can't play there

Powell won't swing it mate, I'd be looking at EQs and can't stand Powell! SOB is a quality option at 6 7 8, that's the beauty of having him

Not really keen on losing Delon as I don't feel Homer is rated highly enough to play every game at FB. Also not keen on losing Watson and Yarde, would need to be only one. Poss look at:
J.Fourie, Cueto, Gaskell

Losi, Yarde/Watson, B.Evans

Re: Sale Sharks
Not sure Fourie is the best in the world mate... he's now in Japan and unlikely to feature on the international stage any more. Would say there are a few better - BOD, Smith, AAC, Rougerie...
Same goes for Cueto - his best form has always been for England and he is unlikely to play for England again (almost certain not to). Yarde and Watson making huge strides in u21's.
Gaskell/Evans isn't essential to me, I'm happy with my locks at the minute.
For Watson/Yarde be looking at £12 mil each. Could possible rustle up something like this:
J.Fourie, Cueto, Gaskell, £8 mil
for
Losi, Yarde, Watson, B.Evans
