Birmingham Bulls: It's COMBINE TIME!
IT’S COMBINE TIME!
The past two Sunday’s have seen Youth (14-16 years) and Junior (16-19) sessions being run at Grace Academy under the watchful eyes of an array of Bulls coaches.
Roughly 35-40 young athletes with varying levels of experience attended the sessions, learning fundamentals such as footwork, catching, running and blocking, not to mention how to wrap up a tackle – a technique the Cincinnati Bengals could have benefited from in the Wildcard round of the NFL playoffs. This Sunday (22nd) sees the beginning of the Senior (19+) preparations for the Bulls’ assault on the 2012 BritBowl.
All 3 age groups will take part in an NFL Combine session assessing their athletic ability. Tests such as the 40 yard dash, jingle jangle (5-10-15 yard shuttle), 3 cone drill, vertical leap, broad jump and press ups (number per minute) will be conducted during the late morning to early afternoon as well as fundamental football skills.
Another Combine session will be held towards the end of February which will give all athletes the opportunity to see how much improvement they’ve made at our indoor sessions between Combine events.
As always, the day will begin at 11am for registration with the fun beginning at 11.30am and running until 1.30pm. Are YOU joining the Bulls’ #stampede2012?
Venue:
Grace Academy
Chapelhouse Road
Chelmsley Wood
Birmingham
B37 5JS
Changing rooms and showers are available on the day if required and water will be available too. If you require further information, please contact General Manager Steve ‘House’ Hannington at bigstevetipton@hotmail.com.

Hi Cherriesfan,
I'm not sure about the Youth set ups for the clubs, but the two closest are Bournemouth Bobcats and Hampshire Thrashers
