I think it's wrong to say Utd played c**p, they dominated the game pretty much from start to finish at Anfield, Liverpool for vast periods were camped in their own final third of the pitch and the only avenue of attack was a big hoof up the pitch which eventually paid off in the dying minutes. Actually having someone with a creative edge for Utd could have been vastly different as the possession never turned into that many clear cut chances that someone with a spark could have provided.

Nothing wrong with hoofing it.
