Poetry Corner: The Underdog
Finally, something to be excited about, the second semi-final of Australian Open 2012.
Born within the week of each other.
The story begins.
Two friends.
Two rivals.
Same dreams.
Here's where the story ends:
The Underdogs.
Enjoy (or at least give it a try):

Well I'm hoping the overall winner comes from that semi and though I'd prefer Andy, I'm not too bothered.

Welcome back, NiTB.
To the under dog
May your dream of glories
Be the material for future stories
Many names have adorned such forays
Into the realm of legends
Your name will be a bookend
Till a new name beckons

Into the realm of legends
Your name will be a bookend

It's one thing posting your ravings here on 606v2 for all to have a good giggle at; it's quite another to put them on youtube. The guy probably needs sectioning (and i only "enjoyed" the first minute or so!)

O' Nole you are the Best,
He doesn't need a rest,
On and On he Goes ...
And how, God only knows!
And those across the net,
Break out in a sweat,
To see the mighty Nole,
Preparing his steam roll!
And how will they handle
Two Breadsticks and a Bagel?
O' how cruel is this sport,
When Nole is on the court!
He doesn't need a rest,
On and On he Goes ...
And how, God only knows!
And those across the net,
Break out in a sweat,
To see the mighty Nole,
Preparing his steam roll!
And how will they handle
Two Breadsticks and a Bagel?
O' how cruel is this sport,
When Nole is on the court!

Slightly frighteningly excessively passionate (even factoring in a touch of irony) and in some ways vacuous like an evangelical preacher. Although I agree with him on the point about the Serbian nation. Didn't watch all.
It is getting boring Nole winning all the time, so I am rooting for the others. Nothing against Nole though.

I do hope your return is not a one off, I think many others will agree although some are not around at the moment.
The board seems to have improved compared to how it was at the time of your previous departure.

NITB is back - hurray!
But come on Andy Murray!
Why don't those two rhyme?
Oops, I'm out of thyme....

I suspect the student on the utube clip has never visited Serbia. In fact I am certain of it. However he is a good speaker

Showed the titanium at 5-5 break point down. Long rally and then to go for that shot inside the line. Great, ballsy shot. Best moment of the match. I bet Nole is the Best enjoyed that one. That is the fire right there. The mental strength. That's what this crazy guy on yahoo tube was talking about.

How does it compare to the match point save at the same stage in the last Grand Slam tournament?Henman Bill wrote:Showed the titanium at 5-5 break point down. These matches and him overcoming them, add as much to Djokovics "legacy" as do the titles, although he now needs to win this tournament and I think he will.

Djoko is certainly one of the mentally strongest player. Miles ahead of Rafa for sure.

I 'd love to be awaken every morning by someone like him praising me like he praises Djoko.
He should put his talent on the market.

There is a great similarity in the fortitude required to win both shots for me. What do you think?
Nole is the mentally strongest player at the moment, of the other top 4 anyway.

I will have to agree. Maybe noleisthebest should change her name to ballsofsteel?Henman Bill wrote:Nore Staat wrote:How does it compare to the match point save at the same stage in the last Grand Slam tournament? ...Henman Bill wrote:Showed the titanium at 5-5 break point down.
