John Lloyd - The Latest BBC Idiot!
"I thought he should have gone with Jimmy Connors - he's gone with [Ivan] Lendl but it was the same type of thing."
"They've demolished the field at the Australian Open"
"In the past in critical stages Murray has lacked a little bit of respect for his coaches."
It makes me wonder how this guy was Davis Cup captain.
It infuriates me, especially when you know some of his comments contain the 'You didn't play in my team' bitterness.
The 1st comment. Did he not see the car wreck of a player in Roddick that Larry Stefanki had to pick up?? Total pleb!
The 2nd comment somewhat the biggest over-exaggeration. Did Murray demolish Harrison? No. Did Djokovic demolish Hewitt? No. Did Nadal demolish Berdych? No. Total Bellend!
The 3rd comment I think if anything coaches like Maclaghan and Correjta gave Andy too much respect. Gilbert got some what of a Flip you but thanks from Murray. There was nothing in Maclaghan for Murray to respect and Correjta was for 'Clay' and being an all season coach was never going to work.
The prat needs to follow the other berk that is Mr Overend and head to the dole queue!

Jason Goodall is wasted. That man could provide stats and analysis of Murray's AO campaign thus far and that of his opponent and that would enlighten my day to see it and that is far more interesting than the re-gurgitated 'Murray needs to be blah blah' nonsense.

Must admit, I nearly crashed when I heard Lloyd spouting his nonsense on the radio
Murray had the toughest R1 of anyone and only his last round can be seen as demonstrably easier than the others
However, I do love the way that Lloyd dismisses the young 22 year old Japanese, set to be the fastest mover in into the current Top 20 as "no opposition"
I suppose we should be pleased after all in 3 years time, logically Nishikori, will be a regular deep into the second week of a Slam

I honestly believe that a load of the guys on here could provide better analysis than most of the pundits. For half of them it only seems like they watch tennis during the Grand Slams. You never get any insightful analysis, just the same cliches spouted again and again.

These are his views on the prospects of Murray against Djokovic: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/16740817.stm
ps I was surprised on his uncertainty on Ivan Lendl's Grand Slam record (given that professional tennis was his job).

You didn't provide a link but I presume you were referring to this from the bbc website

I thought Lloyds assessment of Murrays chances against Djokovic tomorrow were fair and realistic. I know you wish it wasn't so but Djokovic is the favourite.

Hawky
Given NS beat you to the punch.
Not to do with Djokovic being the favourite, just those idiotic comments.
