St Patricks Day Boxing Bonanza!
So the Emerald Isle is gonna take on the world on St Paddys Day 2012, in no better place than adopted capital City New York, heres a flavour of the confirmed fights mixed with the rumours knocking about the blood and sweat of the local Belfast gyms:
Main Event:
Felix Sturm (Germany) Vs Matthew Macklin (Ireland)
Undercard:
Antwan Robertson (USA) Vs Carl Frampton (Ireland)
Jason Estrada (USA) Vs Tyson Fury (Ireland)
Darren Barker (England) Vs Andy Lee (Ireland)
Monte Barrett (USA) Vs Kevin McBride (Ireland)
Robert DaLuz (USA) Vs Mrtin Lindsay (Ireland)
Tasty wee line up if it all comes to fruition!
Back on Irish soil, there are serious rumblings of the following Live from the Odyessy:
Main Event:
Paul McCloskey (Ireland) Vs Michael Katsidis (Australia)
Undercard:
International Prizefighter Heavyweights 2:
Martin Rogan (Ireland)
John McDermott (England)
Gary Cornish (Scotland)
Dominick Guinn (USA)
Boris Estenfelder (Germany)
Owen Beck (Jamaica)
Francesco Pianeta (Italy)
Francios Botha (South Africa)
And finally sandwiched in between that lot, live from Sheffield:
Kell Brook (England) Vs Matthew Hatton (England)
Bad enough that its St Paddy's night - but what an excuse for a few beers boys, who do yo see winning these fights above and who do you fancy for the Prizefighter line up?
Thoughts.
Remember - "Never throw in the towel!"

Re: St Patricks Day Boxing Bonanza!
Good luck to Macklin, Frampton, Andy Lee and Fury
Not that bothered about the other fighters on the card
Best wishes to McCloskey against Katsidis though
Easy night for Brook against Hatton I think unless Matthew can land a few good shots against a chin that has yet to take any meaningful punches what so ever. Brook by UD though probably
As for Prizefighter...usual poor lineup of Z list Heavyweights but better than watching Eastenders so good luck to Martin Rogan and Gary Cornish

If I was a betting man I'd say Brook UD too, Steffan. I'd like to see him try and stop Hatton, though, which I feel would be a huge statement given that Alvarez struggled to get him out of there.

Brooks toughest fight yet I would say
Agree if Brook gets him out of there before the distance it would make a statement. Id put my money on a large Brook UD though

dont rate Alverez personally. Had trouble with Gomez for a few rounds which is hardly the mark of a great fighter. Not saying he doesnt have potential, but Brook, for me, is better than him at this stage.
Brook TKO 8

Dont think Brook stops Hatton, Matthew has shown that he can ship heavy punishment. Brook aint the biggest of punchers either.
Easy 120-108 win for Brook with Hatton punching thin air......a lot!
