LK's Tennis Campaign
Yours truly LK will be facing his first round of league matches on Monday. Snow permitting of course, can LK finally win his group? Interesting that my local tennis shop is trying to move away from my trusty Babolat Drive Pro onto the Head Radical OS which is a larger racquet head and lighter frame. I might however look at the Wilson range and see what is there.
LK has upped his first serve % and his 2nd serve speed. Need to tighten up on the BH side.

Have you been taking your PEDs?
You've no hope these days otherwise.

I have been trying to replicate the 'Gil' water that served Agassi well.
It's not too bad given the standard is not sky high. The pushers really urine me off!! Always dropping it in the middle of the court and un-adventurous play.
Least I won't have to put with my friends dodgy 'out' calls!!

Re: LK's Tennis Campaign
I expect my first league match will be snowed off on Sunday.
If not, I was playing very well in last night's practice match until I tweaked my shoulder trying to smash/drive volley a high ball that was too far away to really go for.
On the plus side, I was then forced to go to touch play and I was really p1ssing the other pair off with constant winning drop shots and cross-court dinks.

I played doubles with a friend once and I went for an overhead smash at the back of the court and hit me partner in the back of the head!
That would p!ss me off constant drop shotting!!!

Re: LK's Tennis Campaign
I once hit a volley that accidentally hit an opponent in the b@lls. He was convinced I'd done it on purpose. I refrained from saying "If I was good enough to hit a target that small, I wouldn't be playing in this division".

I would be amazed if I could do that to someone attempting a hotdog.

If you are an SHBH and the courts have extra sand, you have no chance.
Remember to arrange your bottles properly otherwise you will have no bottle.

You forgot about Hawkeye (not the poster) challenges, if available, and how to abuse them. Also remember a WC break to throw off your opponent's rhythm.

Remember the golden rules of tennis LK
1. If in doubt then call it out
2. If your opponent lobs you then it's automatically out
3. You reserve the right to overrule your opponent at all times

I have me trusty towel to turn to for no other reason but to soothe my OCD.
I shall also make sure that every self-inflicted wedgie is removed before serving

LK - did you get any matches played? I had 2 snowed off, but should have this year's first match tomorrow morning.

Hey JM.
I have a match on Wednesday. I had to cancel last week because I got a dead leg by playing football.

Re: LK's Tennis Campaign
Well. Today marked my first match.
I was sunk 6-4 6-2. I am absolutely disgusted with my performance today. I served more DF's than Kournikova on a good day!
Started poorly. Lost my first service game. Then my serve clicked and I was able to steal the break back after a satisfactory return game. Was able to break with a lovely cross court BH. Came the crunch game at 5-4 and then the serve went the way of the toilet.
I didn't fancy a 3 setter and lack of match practice took it's toll and in the end I was gifting points like Santa on acid. Glad the match is over with. I spent the last few games dreaming of the 'Sports Injury Room' and how a massage was top of the order.

Re: LK's Tennis Campaign
Oh well, we (it was doubles) lost 6-3, 6-1 and then 6-1 6-4 on Sunday. Our other pair didn't do much better. The opposition pairs were just a bit too good, although we could have won a few more games in the first match.
