Shocker.
Only in England could one of the finest coaches of all time be reduced to ridicule in this way.

A fine coach...in his comfort zone.
England was completely out of that.

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 2, Page 18
I think England is now so far out of anyone's comfort zone that it becomes an impossible task. I don't envy England coaches and what they have to put up with.
Capello managed to succeed at Real Madrid on two seperate occasions. Now this doesn't seem like a man that lacks ability to succeed under pressure...but England was too much.

Capello has that typical italian defensive mindset which is not Englands natural game. Even when he won the league with real madrid a couple of years back the football played was way too defensive for the presidents liking. Stick him in a AC or Juve and he'll win titles.

Players available at Lazio dudes. Looking to shave the squad a little, so only for cash really.

The FA stuck their nose in. Whether you think John Terry should or should not have been stripped of the England captaincy, it should have been Fabio's decision. Not some suit in an office.

I think it's been completely botched by the FA, but more than that I think Terry should have stepped aside, said 'I'm not admitting guilt, but my presence would be disruptive to the team' etc.

Only thing is sodhat, John Terry genuinely believes he is not guilty so would have no reason to stand down at all.

Of course, I do understand that, but if he looked at it from the point of view of doing the best thing in the situation, I'd say that was stepping down and focussing on disproving the allegations.
It's easier said than done of course, and maybe it would look like admission of guilt regardless of reasons he gave. But someone had to take a decision, his presence as captain may well have caused divisions.

Fabio Capello didn't see it as an issue, and he was paid £6M a year to make those decisions, so the FA should have stayed out of it.

If you want a Scot's two cents on this, Terry should have stepped down regardless of whether he's innocent or not. There's probably going to be more black players going to the Euros than Sturridge and Cole (who should be on his side) and they might not believe Terry. In my opinion, Terry should not be going at all if there is a risk that there will be a schism in the camp.

I think you probably summed up my view better than I could TSC!
I agree Marky - Capello was completely emasculated by the whole thing. But it was such a mess that I think Terry had to stand down. The decision should have been Capello's but if his decision led to a poisonous atmosphere in the squad and a shocking tournament, no one wins.

There's already a divide in the England camp between the London based players and Northern based guys. Last thing we want is a racial divide between the players. What a joke of a way to prepare before a massive tournament, probably won't make the knockouts.
Who do you guys want? Please don't say Redknapp what has he done in his career, English managers are so poor.

As y'all know, I'm not English but Martin O'Neil would be ideal. You should have punted Capello before MON went to Sunderland. MON is a man-manager and that's what you need. You have decent talent but the players egos ruin you every time!!

In regards to Terry.
In any other profession if someone has a claim against them on the lines of racism against a fellow professional then they get suspended on full pay pending a tribunal etc.

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 2, Page 18
If we go English then it has to be Redknapp or Pearce I'd say.
Foreign wise I'd say Hiddink - but I've no idea what job he has at present though. Excellent tournament manager.

Crawley manager Steve Evans. If he'd take it, being Scottish and all.
Failing that, it's Redknapp's to turn down, but if he does turn it down i'd consider David Beckham...
The England manager for the next friendly is likely to be the combination of Sir Trevor Brooking and Gareth Southgate, seeing as both work at the FA.

Someone needs to tweet Rio Ferdinand and ask him who he thinks will take on the mantelpiece.
I'd do it but I don't want him to murk me.

As your assistant I urge you not to sell Robben, Lahm, Schweinsteiger and Gomez. We sell Ribery and another for Messi.
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 2, Page 18
Ribery + Muller for Messi? lol I don't rate Messi, Rickie Lambert is better.

Which team should I go for?
Liverpool because a fair few of them seem to be in a Premier League bubble?
Or actually a decent team like Dortmund, PSG, Napoli or other

Interesting. If you get one of the ones you listed, do they come with a £50m budget too?

Thats why I picked Spurs.
Got the mould in place with King, Dawson, Bale, VDV, Modric. Just need the rest to go with them with the £45m!

It's the midfield that's good there, the rest will need to improve upon to compete.
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 2, Page 18
I think you should choose Dortmund. What a team they have. Very underrated. But there will prob be some managers in the new league that will say "arteta is better than Gotze because he plays in the bestest league in the world the epl"

That's my worry, the fact the runner rated Stewart Downing over some of the Dortmund players doesn't bode well

I think Napoli is a very decent shout.
Cavani, Hamsik, Lavezzi, Eduardo Vargas etc.
I play as them on Pro Evo!

Choose the best in each position for each team than compare them
Best defender
Dortmund - Hummels
Liverpool - Agger
Napoli - Cannavaro
Best mid
Dortmund - Gotze
Liverpool - Gerrard
Napoli - Hamsik
Best forward
Dortmund - Lewandowski/Barrios
Liverpool - Suarez
Napoli - Cavani
My vote is Dortmund got the best defender and mid and Napoli have got the best striker.
