Top 5 'look at the state of him' moments.
Boxing is a hard, brutal sport to watch but every now and then it still surprises you.
1) Chavez snr after his fight with De La Hoya. Did De La Hoya have razorblades in his gloves. What a mess
2) Hasim Rahman's pregnent forehead afater rematch with Lewis.
3) Marciano's nose after Ezzard Charles tried to tear it off in their 2nd fight.
4) What Manny did to Antonio
5) Lewis's farewell job on Vitalis eyebrow.

Although it was rather worrying at the time the state of Augie Sanchez after his fight with Hamed.

Pawel Wolak's eye against Rodriguez was one of the worst I've seen.
Cano after Morales was a mess as well, terrible to see a young lad take a prolonged beating like that.

Was it against Robinson that Basilio got his eye all messed up?

Gatti was not in a good state against Rodriguez. Just 2 rounds in and both eyes pretty much closed, not as bad as the others mentioned but I can't think of anyone else swelling up so bad that early.

For me the state of Cotto's face after the first Margarito fight.
Also Margarito's eye after what Manny did to him.

He looked in fair old state after Rios. Gallacher should have pulled him out a few rounds before the ref stopped the fight.

Totally agree; a beating like that can hurt a fighter long term and i don't think Gallagher could accept the game was up

Can't believe how quick his face deteriorates once he gets marked. He was fighting a decent fight in both of those then just exploded. I like Murray and hope we don't see him in this sort of a state again any time soon.
