Arsenal
Many fans of Arsenal were bitterly disappointed with the lack of activity in the January transfer window, although it is consistent with the history of Arsene Wenger's dealings, considering this has hardly been a consistent season for the Gunners as it's looking increasingly likely that the side will miss out on the Champions League for the first time in 15 years, many fans expected big business from Wenger. Thierry Henry being brought back on loan was a nostalgic move for the fans, but clearly hasn't solved any of the teams issues. Thomas Enfield was bought late on the transfer deadline day, at 19 he's again probably too young to solve any problems. The fans have every right to be irritated with this transfer window, the team hasn't really improved, and with Jack Wilshere out for longer, a lack of cover in the fullback positions and even players like Frimpong going on loan, Arsenal don't look particularly strong after the window.

Aston Villa
Aston Villa fans made only one big move in the window, which is disappointed considering their relatively poor form this year. Robbie Keane's loan move back from the US was mainly greeted with groans from the Villa fans, although scoring two goals on his debut calmed their fears a bit. More noted for the loan moves out for Delph and Delfounso. Villa fans will surely hope to see more activity in the summer transfer window, especially considering the money they made from the transfers of Downing and Young. January is disappointing though for the Birmingham-based club.

Blackburn Rovers
The January transfer window must surely be seen as a success for Rovers after keeping hold of their best players; Junior Hoillet and Christopher Samba. They lost out on Jason Roberts, who has been largely ineffectual throughout his whole Blackburn career anyway, and fan favourite Ryan Nelsen who hasn't contributed all year anyway. The side is surely only stronger following the window with Modeste and Bradley Orr arriving to strengthen the relegation threatened side, as well the twin brother of Marcus Olsson. If they can get Samba to start playing again, the fans can't have many complaints from the window.

Bolton Wanderers
The January transfer window was most noted by the loss of Gary Cahill, however Bolton fans will surely see the window positively. They managed to get a good £7 million for Gary Cahill, who otherwise would have gone for free at the end of the window, Cahill has hardly helped them this year in poor form as well. Tim Ream is a decent defender, who at a cheap £2 million could be a steal as a replacement for the outgoing Cahill. Marvin Sordell is an excellent youth prospect, but fans will be eager to see if he can make an immediate impact. Rio Myachi has the potential to recreate the same successful loan spells of Daniel Sturridge last year and Jack Wilshere the year before.

Chelsea
A busy transfer window as ever for the London club, Roman Abramovich dipping into his deep pockets to spend £7 million on both Kevin De Bruyne and Gary Cahill. The latter is a long-term target and have managed to sign him on a lower than usual price, and will happy to have him beef the defence up. Yet, the fans have every right to be concerned with the signing of De Bruyne as Villas Boas has admitted he didn't want to sign him already, and they have seen with Roman Lukaku that isn't a good thing, and De Bruyne won't even be seen until next year as he has immediately gone back on loan to Genk, the team he arrived from. They lost Alex, who quickly fell out of favour under the new boss, a good defender, the fans can't be too disappointed to see him go as he wasn't too young and has been replaced quickly. Nicholas Anelka has also moved to China, a sign that Villas Boas is getting rid of the dead wood, although he seems to still be a talented player, the squad isn't really any poorer without him. Josh McEachran has gone on loan to Swansea, which should be good to see him get some Premier League experience in a team that likes their players to play a passing game.

Everton
A surprisingly busy and efficient transfer window for Everton, who have brought back former favourite Stephen Piennar from Tottenham, former loanee Landon Donovan, and a new striker (shock horror!) in Nikica Jelavic. Everton fans clearly can't complain as they have signed three very good players, they'll hopefully see the Piennar move become permanent in the summer, Donavon was successful first time around, although they'll obviously feel concerned that they are simply papering over cracks with short team deals. They did lose Louis Saha to Tottenham, but with a younger, fitter Jelavic signing in his place, they can't be too disheartened by that move. They also lost Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, but he never convinced anybody, and the fact that his transfer funding the move for Jelavic will leave Everton fans smiling.

Fulham
The only big move for Fulham, either in and out, was Bobby Zamora's deadline move to QPR for just £4 million. Fulham fans have every right to be disappointed with that transfer, they've sold Zamora to a London rival, in a similar position to themselves in the table, for just £4 million and failed to bring in a replacement. Bobby Zamora has always been one of Fulham's most highly acclaimed players, and to lose him is a bitter blow, especially as it looks likely that they will also lose Andy Johnson in the summer for free.

Liverpool
An uneventful window for the Merseyside club, and this will be met with mixed reactions from their fans. On one hand, the club hasn't had the best history with January signings or any big money moves recently, so it suggests that the club is learning from their past mistakes, but the club is probably performing just below expectations and perhaps needed a big signing in the window to give them that extra push towards the top four.

Manchester City
The big disappointment for Manchester City in the January window is they didn't manage to offload Carlos Tevez, who meanwhile continues to lose his value as he stays on the beaches of Argentina. They did manage to offload Wayne Bridge on loan to free up some wage space for more worthy players...players like David Pizzaro, the Citizen fans will hope. The Roma midfielder has joined on loan until the end of the season, and has played for Mancini before. The fans will hope he can add a bit of bite to the midfield and experience, especially as the Hargreaves 'experiment' has been ineffective. City fans can't really have asked for more as they are at the top of the table, and are finally getting a settled side.

Manchester United
The United fans have been a bit disappointed from the last two transfer windows, when expecting that big move, yet it just isn't materialising. They saw Diouf, Morrison, and Macheda all leave the club, the last on loan, and only Paul Scholes brought out of retirement. While Scholes has obviously got a lot of talent, it's hard not to think that this is 'papering over crack's all over, and desperate from the club. Scholes retired for a reason, and risks ruining his legacy by returning. He does add a bit more creativity and technique which the United midfield has lacked horribly. If that big move doesn't come in the summer though, the fans will really start to voice their discontent.

Newcastle United
An excellent transfer window all round for the Magpies, who kept hold of highly valued players such as Fabrico Coloccini, Cheick Tiote, and Demba Ba. They also brought in Senegal striking partner Papiss Demba Cisse for £10 million, showing that Mike Ashley will let Pardew spend some money. The club is doing well on the pitch, on the table and now in the transfer window.

Norwich City
With a fairly small budget, Norwich City have done well to sign acclaimed former Leeds captain Johnny Howson. They've done well this season with the team they have, they didn't lose anybody, and didn't need anybody, but have signed another good player.

Queens Park Rangers
QPR had another busy transfer window, but much of the same, signing no real big players, a lot of other sides rejects. Bobby Zamora is a good signing, although he has had only a couple of good seasons for Fulham, while struggling at other sides, but the fans will surely be happy with that move. Djbrill Cisse is an enigma, brilliant at times, awful at others. A debut goal, followed by a red card in the next proves that for the QPR fans, they will hope they see more of the brilliant side, it's a decent enough signing though. Taye Taiwo is probably their best signing, struggling at AC Milan, he will strengthen a very weak QPR defence.

Stoke City
The very definition of an uneventful transfer window for Stoke City. They were busy in the summer, and are fairly happy with the results of that window. The only real business was seeing some fringe players leave on loan. The Potters fans will be neither happy nor disappointed with the window.

Sunderland
10 new signings in the summer, and rejuvenated under Martin O'Neill so it's understandable why it was such a quiet window this winter for the Mackems. The loan signings they made in Wayne Bridge, and Sotirios Kyrgiakos will have been greeted with fear by the Sunderland fans though, as both have shown over the past couple of years that they are consistently poor. The fans will hope they aren't called upon too much. The fans will care more about their excellent rise up the table, and will feel that nothing was needed in January.

Swansea City
Two loan signings are the biggest things for Swansea this winter, Josh McEachran is a good young signing, and Gylfi Sigurdsson adds a bit more quality to the midfield for Swansea. All in all a good window for the Welsh side.

Tottenham Hotspur
Harry Redknapp is infamous for his deadline transfers, and there is a hint that he was trying to live up to that infamy in January, by making the odd signings of Louis Saha and Ryan Nelsen. Both players are at the wrong end of the careers, injury prone and have failed to deliver for their past respective clubs. The players they are most likely replacing seem better, in Pavlyuchenko and Bassong, you know something is up. Spurs also lost Steven Piennar, but he had been struggling to get into the side anyway. Spurs fans weren't expecting any big deals, but Saha and Nelsen suggests a hint of short-term plans for Redknapp. An eye on the England job perhaps?

West Bromwich Albion
West Brom fans can be happy with their activities in the transfer window, no big players leave, and a decent defensive signing in Liam Ridgewell who will just help give some more cover to the backline. No real justified complaints here.

Wigan Athletic
Wigan fans may have hoped to see a big name to help them avoid relegation, but working under a budget they have done alright. They didn't lose Victor Moses or any other hot prospects, and brought in the skilful Jean Beausejour, although isn't the most convincing of players. One disappointment is that they didn't get any cash for Hugo Rodallega, who looks set to leave on a free in the summer.

Wolverhampton Wanderers
This transfer window was clearly a boost to try and avoid relegation, bringing in short term loans of Frimpong and Bassong to add more steel to the Wolves defensive side, as well as Eggert Jonsson for a small fee to add more cover to the midfield. No big names left either, so Wolves can be relatively happy with their window activities.

Clearly the January transfer window was one of the most uneventful transfer windows for a good number of years, perhaps the big failures of Andy Carroll and Fernando Torres put many teams off making any big moves.
