Liam Toland, Irish Times
I wonder if Toland regrets saying this in October:

JonathanDavies must be the most limited outside centre in the RWC 2011. In defence he shoots up in a skewed version of the famed Wasps defence Warren Gatland loves but he lacks the dexterity of footwork and flat out pace of his opposite man. He also lacks the symbiotic relationship with his partner Roberts that O’Driscoll has with Gordon D’Arcy. It is his distribution that will affect Wales most. Contrast that to our two in midfield. As the Welsh don’t over commit to the breakdown I expect turnovers. Davies plays rugby by numbers and fails to create any real opportunity for his outside backs.

We haven't see a symbiotic relationship between D'Arcy and O'Driscoll since 2007 what was this guy on.
Typical Irish media to hype up

And unfotunately, typical of some Welsh posters to feel the need to mock the defeated side instead of just being happy for the win.

Are you referring to me?
I said the Irish media hypes up the Irish team which they do all the time because of their successful provinces. Its just the truth.

Do we not have the right to comment on sloppy, incorrect, insulting, lazy journalism?

I was referring to the OP. I just don't understand why he felt the need to drag up this quotation.
When it comes to media hype, Gowales, I cringe at some of the stuff they publish in the 'national newspaper of Wales.'

Rather than just be happy for your team to win you go searching the archives from the Irish times to pull out a comment made 4 months ago.
A bit of grace in victory lads eh? Just like all of your fellow countrymen and women who made the trip over.

So do we. It's a pathetic chip paper of a publication.

Couldn't disagree more. This "journalist" deserves to have his arrogant comments rammed where the sun don't shine.

No. Because he was arrogant, bittter and clearly hasn't got a clue.
If he gets paid for writing this sort of gash, surely we have a right to comment on it. Or is there a rule that we are not allowed to?

Re: Liam Toland, Irish Times
Wales were by far the better side and played some beautiful perpetual motion rugby (the kind we in Ireland want emulated)... now how many ways do we have to say that? Read the threads. Plus too, I do realise all Welsh people are not so ungracious; Luckless being one of them.
But to those who think we should approach each game on our hands and knees saying "We're not worhty", sorry to disappoint you............ we'll hype ourselves up (reasonably) before any game if we think it might help. That won't be stopping. Why look at your weak points when you're about to meet a very, very good side? That's a shot in the foot and that's a lifetime's limp.

JDavies' passing is Poopie. Not sure how many times he passed during the game but I didn't see many. Also he's been known to be suspect in defence for years as well (one of my in-law's biggest gripes and he's a Scarlets fan). All the comments from 4 months ago were valid.

Your opinion of course. I personally think lazy, arrogant journalists like these need to be lambasted.

Liam Toland isn't a journalist. He is an ex-pro (from Limerick, played for and captained Leinster as well as Munster). He currently owns and runs a home care service for elderly people.

You know that you don't have to reply to this thread if you don't want to luckless.
The majority of the comments have been about why we should or shouldn't mock Liam Toland, not about why he's a complete pillock which is what i want to do
