Strongman
Any Strongman fans out there?
Have gotten quite interested in it over the last year watching WSM on tv. Those guys are capable of amazing feats. Zydrunas Savickas is a beast, his shoulder power is almost unbelievable, not to mention being a great squatter and deadlifter.
Many other great athletes and characters in the sport aswell.

Re: Strongman
I don't actively seek to watch it, but I do quite enjoy it if I happen to see it on TV. Ridiculous strength.
Re: Strongman
I do quite a but of functional strength straining (flipping tyres, prowler, spirints with bungee rope etc...) and it is really good stuff. Fun, but you will certainly notice improvements in other sporting areas.
I'm about the fittest i've ever been (resting heart rate of 41) and my explosive power in my boxing is coming along nicely.
Places similar to where I train are few and far between, but if you have one local to you I would seriously recommend it.

Interesting stuff. Is it a strongman training place or more along the lines of crossfit? Watched a vid on crossfit the other day for the 1st time & was impressed with what I saw. What do you or others think of crossfit? I can believe that crossfit & your traing can defo help in other sporting areas.
