As Crimey has put up a team sheet for the champions league I've gone with my normal set up rather than the 2nd string.

The reason I was a No, and I actually agree, is that Llorente is Basque through and through and has made it quite clear that he loves Bilbao and would only leave if it was to one of the very biggest clubs like Barca and Real.
He keeps getting linked with Spur and keeps laughing it off as having no desire to move to Spurs.

I guess voting is open for the Europa and CL then.
All managers not in CL vote on that comp, all managers not in Europa vote on that.
Deadline for voting bonus (as announced Friday, Monday and Tuesday) was due to be 5pm today, but given the time that the tactics were delayed too, that deadline is extended to midday tomorrow

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 2, Page 20
bs, if Bilbao are offered £30m for him they would take it.
Bent is allowed to join the league from Villa after a year at his club. Would a mid table team sell their No9 who has started 21 league games out of 24 after a year? Likewise Bilbao (a mid table club) would cash in on Llorente.
In this game Benfica are a big team, they have won the league and are in the Champions Cup, much more than Bilbao can achieve.
Consistency in TP's? My arse!

Bent though is notorious for moving every time anyone waves a cheque book at him.

Problem with Bilbao must be that there isn't really much they can do with the cash...and if Llorente truly is happy there they wouldn't need to move him along unless they were in dire straights.

You can't compare Llorente and Bilbao to Bent and Villa.
Llorente is a world class striker, and is also a highly loyal Basque. Regardless of whether the clubs would have accepted the money, the fact is IRL, say Liverpool had come in for them in January, Bent would have moved and Llorente would not.
I didn't benefit from this as I would prefer Llorente over 10 Darren Bent's, but the fact is the TPs in this case have reflected what would happen IRL in my opinion

Yes because Valencia are not playing in Europe.
The clubs who are playing in Champions Cup vote on the Europa Cup and vice versa. Teams not in Europe at all vote on all matches.

Come on YI you know thats not right, look at the other clubs who have offered for Llorente but all have been given a big fat no.

I offered the £31.6m that is his release clause, so it didn't come down to what Bilbao would or wouldn't accept.
It was entirely about what Llorente would do (based on what has happened in the past).

Past history with rumoured bids for both llorente and Bent would suggest differently. I put Llorente in the Neymar category, that it is going to take a really, really big club to sign him
Don't get me wrong, I am quite happy to give Darren Bent back and have Llorente instead

Cor blimey.
I would like to see others have a go at TPs.
It all comes down to opinions. You should try doing it and meeting everyones opinion exactly.
They are impossible to do, so they just need to be accepted as they are. Having three different people voting, all with their own opinions, is as fair and consistent as you are going to find in these games.

And you would think that with 3 people doing tp's then at least the right decisions are made, but they are not.
Dont get me wrong, im not spitting my dummy out or anything, but the tp system is totally messed up.
What is the point in me selling Krasic for a realistic TP and being declined, when the likes of Hazard, Eriksen and Ganso are allowed?

Ganso was a mistake.
Hazard and Eriksen have both shown indications of joining clubs of our size. Llorente has rejected clubs of our size.
As much as I didn't like it at the time, it was the right decision.

I think we should all just calm down and wait until the end of the season. I've never had any bad experiences with TP's as of yet but I can understand why those that have are angry. IMO, if you throw enough money at a club, I think they will sell a player regardless of whether he wants to go or not.
Anyway, can't we all wait another few weeks and then have a rethink over everything at the end of the season? My 2¢.

Aside from that, would it be fairer next time round to conduct TPs and prices paid in reference to an index (e.g. transfermarkt).
At least prices would be consistent (if not decisions to sell) on TPs and then once players are in the league they can be sold for whatever the managers want of course.
I don't envy you runners.

Well, the mistake was signing him because he is an injury dud.
But IRL, Santos would not have sold him when he was in the TPs.

IMO, if you throw enough money at a club, I think they will sell a player regardless of whether he wants to go or not.
Anyway, can't we all wait another few weeks and then have a rethink over everything at the end of the season? My 2¢.
