At this stage I'm planning on releasing Ravi Patel, Adam London and Gurjit Sandhu as they have no county level T20 experience, and Robbie Williams as he's played 2 games, not batted, and bowled 2 overs.

Who were you thinking of in exchange MFC? I'm quite happy to look at over 25 and Kolpaks, could do with strengthening seam bowling and/or my middle-overs batting.

Re: Middlesex Panthers
I have a lot of seam-bowlers. Willing to part with Davies/Onions, Claydon, Thorp (and a couple of others but who aren't much good). In the middle-order, Will Smith or Dale Benkenstein are available. Oh, and Gordon Muchall too I guess. Any of these take your fancy?

Hmmm, I like the sound of Benkenstein. I suspect asking for Onions as well is really pushing my luck , but Claydon is interesting.

At the moment they're all in my 1st XI Gregers, so I'd prefer to hold on to them for the moment (at least until 2 days of auction are up). Potentially KP for Morgan in a few days time though?

How is Benkenstein and Claydon for Stirling and Roland-Jones as an initial proposal?

I like it, Benkenstein is a very fine middle-order player, but I already have Stokes and Collingwood in there, and you said you wanted middle-order quality; Stirling will add some oomph to my top-order, and another spin option.

At the moment my 1st XI is looking like
Chris Rogers/Sam Robson/Strauss
Joe Denly
Dale Benkenstein
Dawid Malan
Eoin Morgan
Gareth Berg
Neil Dexter
Tom Smith
John Simpson
Mitchell Claydon
Steven Finn
I have a couple of areas I need to strengthen that I'm going to target at auction, otherwise reasonably happy for the moment

Not this week sorry CF
I'm holding onto my "1st XI" until I've got a better idea who I've gotten out of the auction (I've got 2 or 3 spots I want to fill, and a few players in mind who could fill them).

After 2 days of the auction, as ive seen you're waiting, can we discuss Finn, and maybe Morgan although I realise that he would require alot

didn't I get Stirling and Roland-Jones off you? Also reasonably sure that Benkenstein is Kolpak.

Sure. No promises, my seam bowling is still a bit light IMO. I'm a lot happier with my 1st string top order at least.
The whole "injuries" concept will be a interesting one once we start playing.

Give me a shout on Wed, it really depends on the auction today and tomorrow - at the moment if I let him go my seam bowling stocks don't look great. And that situation hurt me in the IPL, Kochi only won games on spinning tracks.

Fleeting interest in Ollie Rayner, any chance of negotiation mate?
Also, I'm monitoring the Finn situation...

I'm starting to run low on U25s - I'm down to 10, and you have to keep 8 in the squad.
Batting average/strike-rate wise he's similar to Bopara.

Sorry CF, at this stage I think I'll be hanging onto him.
My playing XI is coming together quite nicely, just need a keeper-batsman to round things off
Martin Guptil
Shane Watson
Dale Benkenstein/Joe Denly
Dawid Malan
Eoin Morgan
Gareth Berg
Irfan Pathan
Tom Smith
Neil Dexter
John Simpson
Steven Finn
5 seamers, 4 spinners in that side. And Simpson at #10 has opened for Middlesex in the past - and I hope to get another keeper-batsman in anyway
Reserve spinner: Ollie Rayner
Reserve Seamers: Praveen Kumar, Mitchell Claydon
