Could Celtic let Motherwell win?
I was wondering as Motherwell are not that far behind Rangers, if Celtic could afford to lose the games against Motherwell to enable them to beat Rangers to second spot. I am sure Celtic would still win the league.

Could they? Yes, they could.
Will they? Absolutely not.
I doubt it will make much difference...there is a high likelihood that Rangers will not be cleared to participate in Europe next season should they finish in the relevant league spot...so I would expect it to be cascaded down to the next team.
Why should Celtic ruin their momentum by rolling over just to further Rangers misery?
Bearing in mind Rangers seem to be in free-fall. They were beaten by Killie at the weekend so it is possible that Motherwell would not need Celtic "letting" them win.

Yeah Rangers don't need any help at the moment they are quite capable of Flip things up on their own.

If Rangers aren't out of administration and handed over there accounts by next month it won't matter because they won't be allowed to play European football.

Re: Could Celtic let Motherwell win?
It's a ridiculous idea to be honest, Motherwell as a club and as a support have always revelled on any failure Celtic have, they've been more than happy to rub Celtic's nose in it, the over the top celebrations from Terry Butcher in 2005 when Motherwell stopped Celtic from winning the League in the closing minutes of the season in what was essentially a nothing game for 'Well, the whole Rangers sending Motherwell a case of Champagne and the large section of Motherwell fans who follow Orange walks ect...
They are a club that I'd never want to lie down too regardless of the outcomes, there is 11 games to go, in the last 14 games Rangers have only managed to win 4 more points than Motherwell and Motherwell still have a game in hand, Rangers beat Well at new year, that is the only result seperaing the two in terms of points win in the last 14 weeks
With 11 games to go Motherwell have to win 7 more points than Rangers, one side are on a great run of form, the other have possibly never been so low, Rangers still have two Old Firm games, two Hearts games and two gamers against Motherwell themselves to go, if Motherwell can't get the job done on their own I've no interest in doing it for them
