Worcester Sign Paul Hodgson
Good move for Wuss as they've got him for three years and he must only be what 30? A good future replacement for Perry.
Exiles fans what are your views? Was he first choice at LI still or do you have some more 9's to play?

Allinson has been starting this season, but its still a shame to see dodge go. Best defensive scrum half around in my opinion. Here's a quick video of what Worcester fans can expect:

Perry has been playing well for Wuss and Johnny Arr is a decent scrummie as well. Is Perry moving on? If not then are Wuss trying to sign up the oldest England international 9s going? Gommarsall will be back out of retirement next week.

I think thats a very good signing, I really rate Hodgson and has been arguably unlucky not to get more England caps. Presuambly Irish weren't willing to offer him the same 3 year contract.

Dodge has not had his best season, but as mawhis has said, when on form he is the best defensive 9 in the country. Really disappointed to see him go, and Worcester have got a great professional to add to their ranks.
We seem to be losing players at a rate of knots, and from a source close to a couple of the players, money is not the key issue. It is a worry, and I am genuinely concerned as to where the club is heading right now.

Ozzy, could we be seeing the end of Booth tenure at the club?
If as you say money is not the issue then I assume the players aren't happy with something fundimental at the club. Booth has had a good impact at the club but you do seem to have plateaud with him as head coach and you're hemorraghing players now. After that final appearance in '09 you've slowly slipped back down and nothing seems to have altered this either from tactics or from signings.
Maybe a fresh approach from a new coach could help fit the final piece in the puzzle for you guys.

Re: Worcester Sign Paul Hodgson
I am beginning to think the same yappy. Booth has done a lot of good at the club, but he does seem to have had fallings out recently with a number of senior players.
We are losing some real quality players this summer, and as of yet there is little word on replacements. What worries me more than anything is there seems to be little planning going into signings, and by that I mean we just seem to pick up players rather than identifying individuals with skills sets that suit how we want to play, in positions that we need them.
We should have kicked on from the 09 final, but haven't, and I can't see us doing so in the near future unless something major changes with how things appear to be being run at the club.

Do Irish have any academy players coming through that look ready to step straight in?

Re: Worcester Sign Paul Hodgson
That's exactly what I feel is happenning Ozzy.
Don't worry Dean Richards will be available soon though
On a serious note, I hope you do sort out the off field issues. Irish are a particular favourite for most fans because of their style of play so it is a shame to see them on the slide.
Would you say Catt has had a positive influence as a coach for the backs?

Re: Worcester Sign Paul Hodgson
Lahiff, Gibson and Joseph are all still academy players Geordie, and we have Kieran Low who is a young lock, and winger Anthony Watson as well.
David Sisi is 18 and has played int he first team this year, so we have talent coming through, but we need the right experience and quality alongside them if we are to kick on properly.
It's difficult to know what influence Catt is having on the backs to be honest yappy, as our back play hasn't really been the problem over the last 3-4 years, it's up front where most teams are beating us.

Yeah, Sisi is 18 years old, 6 foot 4 or 5 and about 17 and a half stone.
Has a very promising future ahead of him.

But he has played for England U18's Asbo, you know that means that he is now completely tied to England for the rest of his life!

Re: Worcester Sign Paul Hodgson
Ozzy i think you're being too kind with regards to Catt. Our backplay this season has been very poor. Without Bowden we look lost. He is the creator of everything. We have some good individuals but as a team we have been on the slide since the GP final.
I think next season our no 1 aim will be to avoid relegation. I think we are in danger of being in the same position as Wasps are now in a couple of years.
