Do Scrumcaps make you deaf?
Or is Matt stevens just stupid?
"Leave the ball 17" calls Walsh.
"LEAVE the ball 17" he calls again.
Having been unlucky to concede field position due to a huge knock-on by Wales and ultimatley the penalty that made it 12-9, conceding this penalty to allow Halfpenny to draw Wales level was sheer and utter stupidity.

Re: Do Scrumcaps make you deaf?
There was quite a lot of "bad luck" due to decisions made by the TMO, linesmen, referee.
It makes me wonder about another question:
"Do whistles make you blind?"

Re: Do Scrumcaps make you deaf?
Steve Walsh surprised me - I felt he was very fair and unlike previous matches any antipathy he feels towards England/English was not on display.
Things will always be missed - though how the TJ missed North deliberately slapping the ball into touch I do not know.
However mistakes by players were much more significant - Stevens for one, Youngs passing another and finally Lawes allowing the smallest Welsh back to rip the ball of him.

Yep, I was commenting last night too how it was ironically some of the more experienced England players who let us down.

Hardly irony, mitey...considering this is a refreshed team and a different coach mostly because experience let people down at the WC.

Not even a little bit ironic? Like 10,000 caps when all you want is a counter ruck?

No but the white powder can make you feel untouchable
Only joking but it's not the first time this has happened. He has a great workrate in the loose for a prop and turns over a decent amount of ball but he does get carried away. Plus he doesn't seem particularly strong on either side of the scrum at the top level. Until he strengthens his scruamaging and cuts down on the penalties then I would look elsewhere for the bench prop option, probably Mullen and then Wood with Corbisierio moving to tight head if required. Maybe even start Mullen and Cole with AC on the bench.

Ah, so this is why young South Africans have so much natural aggression when they first come into your team - it's a tension release thing. Perhaps the England coaches at the lower age grades should lace the younger players food with bromide or something.biltongbek wrote:I have heard of other activities that makes you deaf.

Can't last long though biltongbek seeing as how many pretty ladies there seems to be in SA watching the sport. I love how your broadcasters have no issues with picking out the hotties in the crowds at sporting events where as the British broadcasters pick out the 60 year old warthogs or the 30 stone face painted bald headed chap. It's even better when it's cricket and pan around the ground in between each ball.

That is how it works in marketing mate.
When you have marketable stock, you advertise it.

Re: Do Scrumcaps make you deaf?
Stevens also should of conceded a penalty for head on head at the scrum, was very lucky to get a warning for it. Head on head is incredibly dangerous. The guy seems to have incredibly low intelligence.
