Smackdown's commentary
I know this is a popular topic, but after watching Smackdown on Friday I have to say, the commentary dipped to whole new low level. Normally, I like the banter between Booker and Cole, but now, Cole just isn't interested in the matches he's supposed to be calling. Many parts of the show were filled with silence, and that tells me the commentators simply don't want to be there. Cole seems to think Smackdown is below him and only really tries to call a match on Raw. Josh Mathews in my opinion is way out of his depth, he was always the guy on Afterburn and backstage doing the pre-match interviews. A guy I really like is Matt Striker. My main reason being is he is a genuine fan of the brand and company. When Booker T returned at the Rumble, he was as exited as everyone else watching, "I'm marking out!!" a quality line that we were all thinking. I think he would bring some much needed enthusiasm because Cole doesn't want to be there, Booker chips in now and again and Mathews is pretty boring if you ask me. I think a combination of Striker and Regal on Smackdown would really enhance the quality of watching what is a pretty boring show as it is. Regal would bring the in ring knowledge and witty comments, with Striker, who I have thought can call a decent match, would provide the play by play commentary, with him also showing genuine enthusiasm for the match he is watching.
I really think this would go a long way to improving Smackdown, yes its not going to solve all their problems, such as Teddy Long's fetish for Tag team matches, but it would be a significant step in the right direction if you ask me.

I think it's actually a new rule that commentators should be silent during big moments to let the audience take it in....it is a stupid decision as a lot of moments don't have that big moment feel because nobody is selling it as if it is.

JBL was a superb commentator, he really spoke sense and built up the excitement. He made the Khali-Taker feud into something genuinely worth watching. CM Punk is well capable on wrestling, promoting and commentating, just mic him during a match

Re: Smackdown's commentary
Im a massive fan of Booker just because he makes laugh every week without failure. He is the main reason i watch Smackdown if im hounest so i would 100% keep him. Cole does put effort in Raw theres no denying that but if he got replaced by JR and Cole stays on Smackdown he could try a lot harder. Finally i agree Josh is very boring and i would replace him with Striker or Regall.
