Round 3 Football
Selected Matches
Armagh v Mayo
Down V Kerry
Donegal v Cork
Laois v Dublin
Meath v Kildare
Louth v Tyrone
Derry v Monaghan
As far as predictions go given my track record and some well meaning bias
Mayo
Down - depending on whether its Jeckyll or Hyde with Kerry. A need to win game for Down
Cork - very early but Donegal dont look like being able to repeat the intensity of last year
Dublin
Meath -Saturday night game? is it on Setanta?
Tyrone - They havent gone away you know. On early season form feels like the shortest team in transition ever
Derry - Must win game or else it could be Division 3

Re: Round 3 Football
Wish I could've seen the Dubs game last night. Apparently Eoghan O'Gara played a blinder and got a well desered MOTM.

Re: Round 3 Football
At the Marshes today. Have a couple of conclusions.
1. Down will break absolutely no delph this year. A combination of the loss of a few players and the rush to attempt to fix the defensive issues have resulted in an toothless forward threat and no discernable pattern of play.
2. Kerry absolutely deserved to win today, one score was worth the admission price on its own but they are no world beaters.
3. Damian Brazil Offaly ref should not be allowed an under 12 match the rest of the season. His decision were totally inconsistent and he had to allow a player back on after sending him off for two yellows he never gave, farce.

But at least he let him back on.
Seen the O'Gara display on League Sunday . He hit 1-5 including one superb point.
I don't like to see anyone doing too well (who isn't Cork} but I confess I am happy for O'Gara. Stickin' it to a good few people.

Rebel
Where are Cork at. Draw against Armagh and were lucky in the end. Trounce Down again and then come up short scoring only 6 points against Donegal. I wouldnt put much between the 3 northern counties so whats happening.

Re: Round 3 Football
I don't rightly know.
If plan A works, it is great. If Plan A doesn't work......keep trying plan A.
I think the approach is changing and it is going to mean huge intensity in the summer, so it is a slow build to that point. I think it is going to get ugly (uglier)
