I'd ban him for a lot longer than that - it's outside the laws of the game so I believe Hawkins has a right to sue him for GBH?

I can't recall another time when a player has done that sort of thing before - the first angle looks like they just tangle their arms, but second time you watch it...can't believe he'd do it tbh.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
think he had a bit of an unfair reputation after the JWC where he was sent off for a headbutt - hasnt really done anything since then, until just then.
it will be interesting to hear what Cockerill says, he's usually pretty outspoken - different angle might show something different.
im concerned about this whole biting incident that was meant to have happened in the england game - have a feeling it might be another one of my players involved!

What have you been teaching them Chris????
Ashton - hair pulling
Lawes - tackles with knees
Hartley - eats Ferris's fingers
Clarke - tries to put Hawkins arm all the way around his body
If love to attend one of your training sessions! Lol
Just seen it again on highlights, he does purposely bend his arm back without doubt.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I'm not convinced there is much in the Hartley one. From what I could see Ferris has his arm around Hartley's neck and possibly puts his finger in Hartley's mouth. If Hartley thinks he's about to be fish-hooked which is also illegal then for me he is entitled to bit the finger to get it out of his mouth.
If he had gone unprovoked and bitten then that's another thing, but in this instance I don't see the problem. If you don't want to get bitten, don't stick your fingers in someones mouth.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Have to admit I didnt see much in the Hartley incident and the Irish havent come out saying anything about it, so hopefully it was nothing.
I think Clark could be in a whole lot of trouble though - waiting for Cockerill to kick off about it now - I kind of hope it was accidental and not malicious e.g. he was trying to rip the ball away.
If it was malicious then a case of GBH has to be brought against him as quite frankly a ban of any length isnt enough for that sort of thing.

I'm there mate, with some mates from work. I thought Bryn Evans is injured, fractured eye socket or something?
If we get the team selection right this week we can win, I would go.
Armitage

Joseph
Shingler
Losi

Allinson
Corbs
Bucko

Yeh you might be right. obviously no Hoff too.
Think he will start Hape, although I would go Shingler.
Allinson better start over Samson! Would have Dodge on the bench too.
Are we allowed to play Corbs? Wonder whether Tigers will throw Manu, Croft, Cole etc back in?

Not sure if there is any restriction now on Corbs playing time, but really we need to start him with Max on the bench.

Reckon a lot of the English players could end up in the match day 23 - they must be buzzing after the last few weeks - Tigers usually play them straight away.

It's like anything, when you are winning and enjoying the game you don't feel tired and want to play every week. If you are off the back of a few bad results I am sure the bumps and bruises feel a lot more sore.

Backs not so bad, but forwards a risk I think. Injured 4 of my own English as well, including Corbisiero. Looking forward to getting him back.
be interesting to see if him and Cole line up opposite each other this Sunday.

Too soon for me for the likes of Cole, Croft and Pape. They have played every game so need at least a week off. Same for Jenkins although he didn't play every game.
Castro looked knackered Saturday Nick.

Luke I think Castro always looks knackered!
What do people think of Mulipola? Is he any good at scrummaging?
Dont think any of my forwards who were involved in thee 6Nations will make the bench this week.

Anyone seen LV Cup final highlights?
Apparently Mafi and 36 were outstanding. Suprised Tigers won - Saints had a really strong side out.

I'm after English in the following positions:
LH, HK, 4, OC, WG, FB
Willing to lose top draw players (Both English & foreign) for the right players

Saints side was strong but Tigers was too. Mafi, Salvi, Waldrom got the better of Clark, Wood and Wilson.
12T had a good game as did Ford.
Stankovich got battered by PDJ in opening 15, Ayerza came on and battered PDJ!
Was Castro's first game in a month or so, so he was bound to be knackered! would of got him nice and match fit to face you this week Luke!

I'd throw Maestri in the mix at lock, had a great first 3 games although faded a little the last two. Cuthbert is a surprise call.

I'd have Halfpenny - Kearney was best f/b but with Halfpenny you have to consider his goal kicking and his try saving tackle on Strettle in the England game (not looking at the fact Strettle scored it...)
We must have been one of the only teams whose wingers didnt score a try during the 6Nations!

Had a quiet afternoon and have been trying to put together some sort of Lions squad for next year. Its a real tough job. As we stand I am leaving out the likes of Faletau, Bradley Davies and one of either Wood or Croft doesn't make it. It is a really tough call at the moment.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
We seem to have a serious glut of 8's at the minute:
Faletau, Heaslip, Denton, Morgan would all be in with a fair shout.
I'd be tempted with Morgan & Denton on current form although SOB is a very good 8. Faletau gives options at 6/7 also so could be in with shot.
Heaslip is probably 5th in my list of Lions 8's which is crazy when you think he was the standout in 2009. Big calls from Ireland to go with a backrow of:
6. Ferris/SOB
7. POM
8. SOB/Ferris

I won't get into an argument about Heaslip. He is still the number one 8 in the British Isles for me.
Only really 5 certainties for the starting line up in my eyes. (Fitness permitting)
Jenkins, Gray, Warburton, Davies (at either 12 or 13) and North.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I think Warburton is out on his own in terms of OS despite not fully firing this 6N due to injuries etc he's likely captain.
Heaslip I can't agree with, hasnt hit form for a while. I doubt very much he'd be part of a Lions setup unless he seriously bucks his ideas up. Was pretty terrible for most of this 6N. Denton could be an outside shot but a little early to tell.

Heaslip has been great in the HC for Leinster. One of there key players.
He hasn't played well for Ireland along with most of their side. Ireland have had Kearney, Bowe, Ryan, Best playing well along with Murray and POC before they got injured.

Jenkins ahead of Corbs + Healy is a tough call and definitely not a certainty. Also with JD I'd be happy with a midfield of Roberts - Manu.

Little surprised with that Chris.

From what I saw of the incident it didnt look like anything - maybe they have another camera angle, just seems that the English get a really hard time from the citing officials.
Hope he hasnt done it - he'd changed his game around over the last three years - if he had more of a carrying game he'd be best hooker in Europe (sure he used to run the ball a whole lot more?)
