Ah we all know that it goes on, just was fascinating to hear some facts from someone involved. Also knowing that it definitely does happen makes me laugh even more about Tigers bleating about being hindered by the salary cap.

Burrells a big old unit, but wouldnt have him in say Downey's class - sure he played league for quite some time too, hard to put down, good defender.

Still think Saints need a top class centre, a replacement for Ashton and a few additions to their backrow.

He might be, wouldn't know as he hasn't played many games at all.

Can't blame him for leaving at all. He is a big lad though and came with high hopes.

Saints wont be happy with that ban - heard from quite a few people that the incident was effectively that Ferris put his fingers in Hartley's mouth, an Irish player ran into Hartley and jolted his head and cause him to 'bite' Ferris.

Saints were expecting a 2-4 week ban tops, and very unhappy with the decision.

There was mitigating circumstances lll. By all accounts he was very unlucky. With his previous record to get 4 weeks off must involve lots of mitigation

hartley said he didnt bite him at all, no intention of doing it - just that ferris put his fingers in his mouth and someone ran into Hartley's head causing teeth to clench - might not sound believable when you say it like that, but they are adament he didnt do anything wrong and are miffed as expected a 3-4 week ban maximum.

Simple solution - dont put your fingers in someone's mouth - remember the Grewcock incident quite a few years back, when he got fish hooked and then bite - he got a ban and the guy who fish hooked him got nothing!

Jsd first name on team sheet and just 30. Pointless signing we need forwards.amaZed If that happens.waste of money. We need players who can play during internationals and have fb cover.

Morgan may be finished his recovery not going well

Nick we have the same frustrations as both are fans of teams with great backs and a few good forwards.

Morgan at 8 will be great with Savage and Qera we will have great options and we have some great young players coming through.

TH cover after Harden is non existent same as LH and Hooker and Second row we have Hamilton and nothing else.

Its not rocket science yet seems to be beyond brush. Heard that he may be off. Big bust up with the players. They will either back him and bomb out players or get rid.

personally i would sack the forwards coach and get someone who can see what is bleeding obvious

our first choice pack next season will be ok
Corbs, Paice, ???, Garvey, Skivington, Evans/Gibson, Treviranus, Hala'ufia

Lahiff, Danaher, Grey and Lawson arent bad replacements either. But after that you have the likes of Sinclair, Ion, Dermody, Roche, Thorpe who simply arent good enough.

We still need a top class backrower, like you have got with Morgan, to compete with the top 4.

Apparently Smith is a big fan of Alex Grey whereas Booth was not so should see a lot more of him rest of this season and next.

Losi is a key man for us. We need him fit and firing for the whole season, he's not been at full fitness since 2009 but looks as close to it now as you can be at this stage of the season.

If he stays fit next year then we could have a good season.

If I was Brian Smith I would blow every last penny of the remaining budget on a top, top tighthead.

Good news that Treviranus has signed on for two more years.

We need a 10 as much as anything. Shingler or Jarvis arent good enough for me.

Reckon there is a few more signings to come. A tighthead, a backrower, potentially a 12 if all this talk of Hape leaving is true.

Delon hasnt made up his mind either yet so he could end up staying which would be good.

I think with the right 9 and 12 either side of him Shingler would do a good job for us at 10.

Trev is a massive signing really, as we were so lacking in ball carriers in the pack for most of the season and that was a massive issue for us. Reports on Aulika are pretty good, so hopefully he will be better than Faan, Ion and Halavatau. If we had a decent tighthead we would have beaten Tigers on Sunday, as their key scores came as a result of scrums.

no idea mate loads of rumours on the craic.

the stephen jones rumours are quite strong, would prefer him to shingler and he can also mentor shingler. shingler can then cover 10 and 12.

the scrum will be helped next season by having skiv in the engine room over kennedy.

really dont understand the logic in re-signing sinclair and signing tom smith. only one or the other needed.

Interestingly Smith has captained Ospreys a lot this season and started most games at 6. can't say I know a lot about him at all. but seems a much better option than sinclair, thorpe and roche.

Yeah, Booth was in charge of everything.

He is a very good coach, but I am not sure that his man management was great and tactically he was a little bit lost at times.

I think with Smith back we will see much better rugby from the team next season. There were already signs of it on Sunday.

YOungs and Fasivulu cited for incidents at the weekend.

What are the rules with citings, as in real life you are not allowed to play if you've been cited before the hearing - what has the rule been here, I didnt pick Clark at all in my squad because of that?

That rule about not playing before your hearing is a 6 Nations one. AP citings players are free to play until their hearing unless banned by their club.

Fasivalu must be cited for the yellow card he got for tackle with no arms a la tuilagi and every other islander favourite. He was unlucky as he hit him so hard the bloke rocketed down before he could wrap his arms.

Luckily most my players fit in real life only wood missing and he has only been out 2 weeks so far so should last the run In form wise.

Pooly any news on juan smith he was meant to be back when coonie was. Gone quiet on Sa sites

Anyone watch the Brumbies on Saturday?? Michael Hooper had a storming game! Here is the Planet Rugby view from team of the week

7 Michael Hooper (Brumbies): The 20-year-old thrust his name right into the Wallabies mix as he popped up everywhere at Canberra Stadium while making a match-high 26 tackles, forcing several turnovers, scoring the final try and having a hand in another to help lift the Brumbies atop the Australian conference with a win over the Highlanders.
