Federer- the elegance of his game
Every once in a while, one comes across something that reminds one that Federer has that extra bit to him that others don't. It could be a turn of phrase in an article describing him, of which there are many, a reaction of utter disbelief from a commentator or a youtube video. Here is an example of the latter.
This is an aspect that is perhaps irrelevant to his GOAT status, but this is what a lot of fans will remember him for. When watching Federer, there are these moments of balletic grace which approach art.

It is staggering to see the era in which he plays tennis like this, an era of slowed down surfaces, physical and powerful players and little variety or grace. Federer is the throwback to an earlier era where pure talent and timing were far more important. We might look back upon him as the most unique player ever, stylistically, particularly in contrast to the styles of the other players that surrounded him.
In my opinion, this is something that is overlooked often when describing him. Not the elegance, for that is mentioned all the time, but how rare it is nowadays and how fortunate we are that it has not been an obstacle to success.

Hello
Oh minions I have returned from the far reaches of the universe; the desolate wastelands have been left behind. The search for potential disciples is a long and arduous one, but it must be completed.
Oh Tennis son of Annorak, thou hast been shortlisted for the potential potential disciples list.

The uniqueness of the Federer game is in it's fusion of so many elements.
Textbook technique, power, precision, touch and elegance.
In short, he combines so many elements and to such a high level - it is indeed a beautiful experience watching him play.
The most complete player ever.
