Battle For Control Empty Battle For Control

Post by I Blame Coco Mon 12 Mar 2012, 4:31 pm

Just read on twitter that the match for control of Raw/SD! will be a 12 man tag team match.

Guess this ensures Ziggler, Swagger, Miz, Marella et al play some part in 'Mania.

I am predicting Santino to get the winning pinfall, he's on a roll atm and will get a wrestlemania moment

Interesting, will they go Heels / Faces or Raw / SD.

If it goes Raw/SD i can see a SD heel screw over Long. Guess we'll find out on Raw tonight.

If I were looking to put forward two teams of 6 I would go-

Team Ace

Del Rio, McIntyre, Christian, Ziggler, Henry and Otunga

vs

Team Long

Marella, Ryder, Kingston, Truth, Jackson and Clay

Not really, I only picked heels who are activly pro-Ace/Anti-Long, in hindsight I would have given Ziggler's place to Swagger as he is now involved in the Marella/US title fiasco

I can actually see McIntyre being on Long's team then screwing him over and costing the team the match.

Long is forever putting him in matches for his career; Lauraunitis was the one to get him an easy match to get his job back. So it seems nailed on McIntyre will shaft long's team.

Interesting match if it is true and you imagine it might get some decent ring time, we might need a breather inbetween one of the top 3 matches on the card.

Although it could just turn into a 5 minute finisher athon with Johnnys main guy getting the last pin.

Perhaps Teddy Long could incorporate a celeb into his team...

On Monday morning, WWE's Board of Directors announced that WrestleMania 28 will feature a "Team Laurinaitis vs. Team Long" 12-man tag match - with the winning GM getting control of both brands. Participants for both teams will be announced in the coming weeks, but here are the rumored participants for the two teams:

Team Laurinatis: Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, David Otunga, Christian, Mark Henry & Alberto Del Rio

Team Long: Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Ezekiel Jackson, Santino, Great Khali & One more participant.

The final participant of Team Long could be Evan Bourne or Rey Mysterio (if he's medically cleared to return).

Surely they wouldnt book a surprise return for Rey to lose?

And still no sign of the Miz anywhere (or Drew for that matter)
