Barca/Real final?
The way the Champions League draw has come out means there is a good possibility of a Real Madrid vs Barcelona final. Is this a good or bad thing?

Don't see why it would be a bad thing, arguably the two biggest and best clubs in europe today, they deserve to be in the final.
Barring a massive upset on either side only other final I could possibly see is Barca vs Bayren.

Either Barca-Real or Barca-Bayern would be a quality final.

Re: Barca/Real final?
Looking at the Spanish La Liga it is more "two sided" than the Scottish League:
1 Real Madrid P30 GD+73 Pts 78
2 Barcelona P30 GD+64 Pts 72
3 Valencia P30 GD+9 Pts 48
4 Malaga P30 GD+ 1 Pts 47
.
.
20 Racing P30 GD-22 Pts 25
The gap between the third place team and second place team is GREATER than the gap between the third place team and the last place team!
The problem it seems is whenever a Jose Mourinho side plays Barcelona, they tend to get one or two players sent off.
I think the strongest three teams in the Champions League this season have been
Real Madrid
Barcelona
and Bayern Munich. The Real Madrid v Bayern Munich semifinal should be a cracker.

Re: Barca/Real final?
Three Spanish sides and one Portuguese side make up the four semi-final positions in the Europa League
Semi-finals:
Valencia vs Atletico Madrid.
Athletic Bilbao vs Sporting Lisbon
So despite these Spanish sides being no where near as good as Real Madrid and Barcelona (as per Spanish League points and goal differences), they are still significantly better than all other nations competing in the Europa League.

Utter tripe, The Europa league is treated with utter disdain by a lot of Europe as it doesn't pay well, if they offered CL spots for the finalists, or even just one for the winner, you'd soon see the standard rise up to the level a European competition deserves, as it is, the big English clubs and a few from Germany and Italy treat it the same way they treat the League cup, an unwanted distraction from the real pay days.Nore Staat wrote:Three Spanish sides and one Portuguese side make up the four semi-final positions in the Europa League
