Andy Farrell and England : A suitable permanent appointment? Empty Andy Farrell and England : A suitable permanent appointment?

Whether or not you agree that Stuart Lancaster should be appointed as permanent head coach before or after the RFU board issues have been resolved, do you feel that Farrell should continue as backs coach?

I'd agree that that AF shored up a pretty friable defence, but is his style what England should be looking forward to?

Sarries want to retain him - and I'd say they should. And good luck to them.

There have got to be better backs coaches around.

Dare I mention Shaun Edwards?

I think Farrell would actually be a better option for head coach than Lancaster. I am surprised he has not been approached.

Do you actually mean 'febrile'? Cos England's defence has never shown symptoms of having a fever and if you mean the other definition it's never been that excitable either?

I'd think that could work Geordie yes. My only issue is, how do you incorporate a Saracens style defence with a Gloucester style attacking game? It's not an easy one to balance, but Wayne Smith as attack coach would be great.
