Comedian commentary Empty Comedian commentary

Post by nobbled Tue 20 Mar 2012, 4:22 pm

A number of posters have said how much they like the comedy partnership of Moore and Butler...so how about real comedians?
I'm thinking Frankie Boyle for the Scotland games, Jack Dee for the England games, Rhod Gilbert for Wales and Dara O'Briain for Ireland?

I'm selling this idea - available on the red-button when the commentator you personally hate is on!

He's done routines about not liking rugby. Andy Zaltzman (sport addict) would be good for England games.

Thanks for the tip! Laugh

I did google him but that just told me what I had already guessed. That he's a Welsh comedian. Never seen or heard of the fella. Though I did know the rest of them.

He is top notch well worht a ticket and is due on tour soon. His rants about everyday things that annoy us all are great.

Just imagine Frankie Boyle actually commentating, it'd be something special. "Oh look at that Andy Robinson's got an even bigger scowl on his face, it looks like he's just seen Susan Boyle in a bikini.... What a kumquat".

Also, I'd like to see Milton Jones commentating on English games, at least it'd distract the fans from the dour and boring style of play.

I saw Rhod Gilbert in Northampton last year. Funniest 3 1/2 hours of my life.
