CM Punk is hinting at a match in next years Wrestlemania 29 against Stone Cold Steve Austin!

Could it really happen? Or is it a spoof to hook more people on WM28?

Never seen you post on the wrestling forum before, I only seen you on F1 forum, proves wrestlmania gets everybody out of the wood work for it.

As for the tweet, it would be a decent match with an even better build up

Would be interesting to see if CM Punk and SCSA could do a better job than Cena and the Rock with building up a match over a year.

If it was announced early, you can guarantee that Punk will be having one hell of a 2012 to make him look as strong as possible. He isnt on the same level as Cena so his stock would need a massive boost.

Yes, would be a great match. However, as long as they dont announce the '1 year build up' stip.

Id like to see a shorter build up than Rock/Cena with a bit more 'violence'. None of this mic war stuff, its tedious.

Can Austin actually wrestle though? And if he risks one more match, surely the build up would be non physical just like Cena/Rock to keep Austin as safe as possible?

Build up would be very non-confrontational but with a few stunners thrown in lol.

Rock hasn't even rock bottomed many people.

Pretty sure Austin has said a few times on Twitter hes fine to Wrestle hes just enjoying doing other stuff, and waiting for the right moment (if there ever is one) to strap the knee up again.

When I say violence, I mean something, anything other than week after week of talking - few beat downs here n there etc...

I like the lack of physical interaction between Rock & Cena. I just think the lack of intense promos is what is killing the match in some people's minds. When your main event guys are trying to do comedy and silly school yard put downs to build up their match, that's what's going to happen. If Hogan went out on Piper's Pit and called Andre "Fatty,Fatty, Giant Butt" I'd question how legendary that match would have been.

I like the idea of Austin-Punk, but I don't like the idea of any match getting another year build up this soon after Rock-Cena. I read a rumor somewhere that WWE was planning to anounce the main for WM29 on Raw this Monday, if that were the case I'd guess it would either be something along the lines of Undertaker vs Brock or Austin/Rock vs Punk/Cena. But again, I hope we don't get another year long build up just yet. If we got the main announced after Summerslam, that would be great.

And I think Uberkiwi is right, Austin has said that he's in good enough shape to go and physically able to. He just claims to not have any plans, which tends to be what people say right before they come back.

It may be annoying the lack of physicality between Rock and Cena in the build up but I think their match may benefit from it. Cause lets face it, we are all crying out for it, Wrestlemania will deliver.

I cant see Punk vs Austin and Rock vs Cena on the same night. Austin has made it clear he doesnt want to play 2nd fiddle to the rock, as why he turned down being a ref in a match again this year i believe
