Who will win the men's Wimbledon title 2011
Who will win the men's Wimbledon title 2011?
Ok, so we haven't yet had the French Open but any thoughts on who will win the men's singles title at Wimbledon this year?
I'm voting for Djokovic.
I'm really hoping Andy will be able to put up a good performance in front of his home crowd.

Can't see past Nadal to be honest. Djokovic is unconvincing on the grass of Wimbledon, I've never really seen him as a champion there. That said, this year above all others is probably his best chance....
Nadal on the other hand seems to be repeating last seasons form. I think he'll find the US hard to defend, but the French and Wimbledon are, for me at least, his to lose.

It is difficult to see beyond Rafael although he could be vulnerable to an in form big server in the early rounds.

I've voted for Rafa. And not just out of some blind loyalty that I obviously have towards him.
He first played Wimbledon in 2003 and missed it in 2004, but overall he played only a total of 11 matches there till he reached his first final in 2006. Eleven matches, that's amazing. Can you imagine someone turning up at the French Open and after 11 matches finding themselves in the final??
He loves everything to do with the tournament and always totally steps it up for it. Sorry, but I don't ever see a win there for Murray. I think Nole could perhaps get to a final one day. But certainly for this year ... I'd still go with Rafa.

Yeah, but i'm 98 and live on Pluto and in Saudi Arabia at the same time. I therefore have omni-presence, so I think I could do it.

That would be Rafael Nadal as he won the French Open on his first attempt and has gone on to win 5 French Open Championships, losing only once whilst carrying an injury. Here is a curious fact: in this years French Open from the first round to the quarter-final stage, Andrew Murray, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will all be 24 years of age.

Yes it is certainly tough to predict who will win 3 months down the line. To me it is either Fed or Nadal, Novak with the way he is serving and his improved volleys and lethal returns could get in there and do some damage. Andy can as well if he can get his confidence back.

Yes difficult to call as on any slam but Wimbledon, home turf for Andy and with a new coach in place you never know.
Here's hoping

Yes I too am a Rafa fan but I am trying to be objective... I do believe its Rafa´s to lose .. but Nole is in with more than a shout given his current form.
Im truly sorry to say Andy fans but I dont think his first GS will be Wimby .. IMO it will be USO or AO hard court being his favourite.. Then that having been achieved.... Wimby next year ??? possibly

Rafa for me....I still think Nole finds grass difficult and as Woofs said, Rafa loves everything about SW19. He may well struggle throught the early rounds, but that's nothing unusual for him, and unless he really slips up, I can't see anyone beating him.
Feds and Andy....nope
Anyone else....not really, although you quite often get someone in the SF that you would never suspect, and I would never have thought Berdych would have got to a Wimby final.
