I prefer footjoy and have now started using the myjoy site and customising my own. A bit more expensive but unique shoes to you and you can have anything on the shoe itself like your name, initials on the heel, a logo, emblem or have them in as many garish colours as you want, or just plain and in any footjoy shoe style there is.

Not bad passing a few minutes and seeing what design concepts you can come up with, actually look like

Instead of starting a new thread I have just recycled this one. Just wondering if anyone has tried the ecco street golf shoes, like those worn by Freddie couples apparently?

something similar to that, maybe a darker brown. There are a few styles if you look around.
I really hate the look of most golf shoes so I am surprised it has taken me this long to notice there is another option.
The only worry would be the snobbier clubs letting you wear some ghastly normal type show but not the ecco with its much better styling because it is deemed trainer like. Ooh, the possibility of a dress code discussion. I feel 2012 needs one of them.

Mac,
Haven't tried them, but have a "regular" pair of eccos which are fantastic; always love ecco street shoes also.

Mac. You seem to be suggesting that there is no place for dress rules at all. Sorry, I disagree. Also think those Eccos are pretty naff. Different folks etc.McLaren wrote:Instead of starting a new thread I have just recycled this one. Haven't tried them, but might well consider something of that style in future. Thought that Nike did something similar, although don't take that as reliable - I have in mind a Twitter exchange involving T Woods (trying them out) and L Westwood saying they were nice and asking what make are they? His quip about the brand went over some people's heads.

I will bite. Yes I am suggesting there is no place or even a point in dress code. Although, i tend to wear something that makes me comfortable hitting golf shots, something I have no idea how people do in jeans.

Mc - the echo streets are very comfortable. Great for dry (dusty) courses, and while great for walking are ideally suited to buggy golf.
