Ronnie O' Sullivan's Future
So after his latest defeat, this time to Ryan Day at the China Open, Ronnie O' Sullivan appeared to be questioning his future in the game, saying:
"I've said I would retire before but haven't so I don't want to look silly, but I can't continue to keep playing that way. I'm not going to say I'm retiring but you never know, it's not looking good. My form isn't great, there's nothing I can do about it but keep trying".
Do you think he's seriously contemplating quitting the sport, or was it just said in the heat of the moment?

Re: Ronnie O' Sullivan's Future
Nobody really knows the real Ronnie, his recent performances have been way below his best, I just think he has fell out of love with the game.
Maybe he just needs to have a wee spell away from the pressures associated with championship snooker

This has happened before and Ronnie has came back even better. Hope he doesn't retire it would be disasterous for the sport. A break from the sport may do him good.

O'Sullivan attempted to pull out of the forthcoming World Championship last week only to change his mind a day later, World Snooker confirms.
Bad signs indeed...

It's not great but if Barry Hearn can't lift the sport to where it used to be he might just need to put up with Ronnie and his carry on because he is still the biggest draw in the sport.

It just seems like more drama queen stuff from Ronnie, you get it atleast once a year and i don't pay much attention to it anymore. He's not a serious player in the championship this year anyway im afraid.

Re: Ronnie O' Sullivan's Future
If the Ronnie that turned up today is like this for the rest of the tournament then he's got a really good chance of winning.
Re: Ronnie O' Sullivan's Future
True but that's also what makes him such a draw he's great to watch when he's on form and when he's not he's usually good TV because you see him cracking up.
