Great start to the Moto GP season
Good start to the Moto GP season at Qatar As expected the three main contenders for the championship were the front runners throughout the race and it looked as if Stoner was going to clear away from Lorenso and Pedroza but instead it was Lorenso that got in front with three laps to go and Pedroza got past Stoner and that's how it stayed 'till the flag. Congratulations to Crutchlow in coming out on top of his race long duel with his teammate Dovizioso and what about that start of Pedroza's from the third row? Roll on the next round in Spain.

Did thoroughly enjoy the race. You could tell Lorenzo was just sitting there, being consistant and waiting for Casey's tyres to go. For Stoner to not have completed a full race test in pre season was a huge mistake in terms of his tyre knowledge. Crutchlow was superb with Dovi but I was disappointed with Rossi, starting to fade or just another poor bike????

Re: Great start to the Moto GP season
Is it just me or does anyone else get frustrated with the lack of on screen timing data to show the gap between riders. This lack of a ticker tape at the bottom of the screen makes it difficult to see the bigger picture as the race unfolds. During the race I had no idea if certain riders further down the pack were gaining time or falling back unless the commentators (who do have this info) decided to mention it. A simple ticker tape showing all the gaps is constant in F1 so whats the problem with having it in MotoGP ??
PS Interesting comment from Rossi who indicated that the bike was more ridable when the tyres were going off and the bike started to slide around. Ouch. Not a happy chappy.

We all know Casey can go really fast but he lacks race craft and as usual he makes excuses, blaming it on cramp. What a joke!
Lorenzo is the real deal and I knew that once he stopped crashing he would be the one to beat.
Its a shame that Vale can't get the Ducati to work, would love to see him in the mix. Nice to see the next generation at work though. Wish Yamaha could provide Cal and Dovi with full works bikes. That would put the cat among the pigeons

Did he really blame it on cramp? I didn't see the post-race interviews
That's a shocking excuse from a World Champion! Jorge is the real deal, Spies is gonna be under pressure to perform this year

Was a entertaining race no idea how Pedrosa keeps getting off the line so well it can't just be that's his tiny.
Was impressed by Bradl be interested to see how he would do on a much better bike

Yes, apparently muscles in his right hand (for squeezing the throttle) got cramped and he lost pace in the end. He even struggled to get off the bike just liek when he had the mystery illness.
The guy is unbelievable. He sets fast laps, never does race simulations and when he doesn't win a race, there are always excuses.
