Glasgow vs Edinburgh - Rivalry

I've noticed that there doesn't seem to be any real rivalry between the two teams in fact, although I prefer Glasgow, I like to see them both do well; this is in stark contrast to the English and French game. Is this a good thing or does it mean there is a lack of spice? Is it down to their being just two teams and so realistically we need them both to play well? Is this due to the fact their are only two teams and so many of the players don't have the same sense of belonging? Or the fact a lot of the players play for Scotland and so know each other well?

Rivalry is good. It generates interest and that brings in bigger crowds.

I dont know, theres a fair bit of spite directed edinburghs way by the #warriornation at times. Warriors fans probably feel the same way about us like.

I think it's because there is little history between the sides, and in effect we're all Scottish rugby fans and want the players at each to do well. In the actual derby games I think there's decent rivallry and bragging rights, but outside of those games, despite being an Edinburgh fan, I always support Glasgow and wish them well.

Dunno - the Ne'erday game usually gets pretty spicy with banter ! There were reports of Warriors fans at Murrayfield last week cheering Toulouse but we went through and made some noise for the Embras !
