Super XV: Scrum resets and ball in play.
By the end of week 8 the average time the ball was in play is 33 minutes and 50 seconds in comparison to the average since 2000 of 33 minutes and 30 seconds.
These are the individual referees and how much time the ball was in play on average per game:

Ngan I have that but need to put it all together, it will take time, what I will do is post all the matches, then you can at least get an idea of which teams have played how long.

I think it is very interesting that the top refs seem to have less ball in play.
I wonder if that is because they see more which is why they are better or leave less go which is why they are better

Just comparing the top NZ team and the bottom NZ team the chiefs have played a total of 242 mins wheras the Blues have only played 222mins nearly a game less, and theyve both played the same number of games.
