Dan Carter - 100 Super Rugby matches
Great tribute to DC after he posted his century of games for Crusaders

Good video. I think his brilliance is in how relaxed he is in pressure situations. When he finds a gap and the heart is racing, defenders closing in on him he has an incredible ability to compose himself, be aware of and weigh up all options and 9 times out of ten chose the best one within the blink of an eye. To do this you need incredible clarity of thought, conditioning, confidence, focus, dicipline and composure. Along with his complete range of technical skills he consistently manages to make good and often match winning decisions in pressure cooker environments. This is what sets him apart for me.

Glorious player and hope to see as much more of him as humanly possible. Just imagine a SH team with him at 12 outside Cooper! Or scratch, that, just leave him at 10 because he is the best 10 ever

The Crusaders are currently playing him at 12 outside young Tom Taylor who's goal-kicking has been on fire. Ironically Taylor's father Warwick has an RWC winners medal, playing at 12.
The Canterbury five-eighths factory has some impressive pedigree over the past 30 years
Wayne Smith
Warwick Taylor
Stephen Bachop
Andrew Mehrtens
Aaron Mauger (Bachop's nephew)
Dan Carter
Colin Slade
and hopefully
Tom Taylor
Tyler Bleyendahl

Yeah, I've been watching some S15 highlights. When you are playing Carter out of position at 12 you know that you have a young 10 that can step up!

I've not been following the Super XV too closely this season but have always been a fan of Carter at 12. What are the odds of Barrett, Cruden or Taylor starting at 10 with Carter at 12 for the All Blacks? Have Nonu and SBW been playing well and what of Bateman?

Nonu's been poor, like the rest of his team. SBW is on fire for the Chiefs (a couple of dropped balls in the massive humidity in Durban last week excepted) and Bateman's doing OK. Cruden-Carter could happen, Cruden's form (with the AB's "alternate" midfield from last year of SBW and Kahui) has been pretty good, though I suspect it would be more likely to happen in the 2nd half of a match after subs come on.
Better still there are some young half backs emerging - TJ Perenara, Aaron Smith and Tawera Kerr-Barlow.

Just looking at the Southern Hemisphere's options at 10 makes me jealous (even if all of Aus' are injured)- Carter, Slade, Cooper, McAllister, Evans, JOC, Barnes, Steyn, Steyn, Lambie... just not fair, and now maybe some new kids too

Nice vid Kiwi.
I hear Carter is back to 10. Interesting article on stuff about players playing out of position: http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/6824346/Relax-Dan-Carter-will-soon-be-back-at-10
Nonu was poor for the Hurricanes last year too but he was one of our most consistent players in black. Don´t think the Cruden Carter thing will happen just yet. Hoping though a new halfback will be inside Carter though and all the more reason for DC to remain at 10.
