Yep the internationally reknowned flank...inside centre...
Bit odd that Stade's captain fantastic Parisse is on the bench as well.

A good enough linkman flanker (as Smith is) should be able to play 12 as long as he really focusses on defensive position

Tbh, I'm surprised they don't play Parisse in the centre if they need someone there

Another try for Steffon Armitage, he's been in arguably the form of his life this season, a shoe in for South Africa surely?

Armitage has to get called up for England surely. I don't see how he's been left out so long as it is.

T14 playoffs are supposed to clash with some of the tour. If he's available I'd take him.

It would be nice to see him somewhere like Leicester (they could do with a good young English fetcher, although Tiger fans may disagree). However given the fact he counts as a 'French player' in terms of their quota he'll be on a fair packet down there

Smith's getting stuck in, maybe Cheika isn't so crazy after all?

The masterbating commentary over Wilkinson is annoying me.
We know what he does e.g. 1999-2004 England.
Stade were heading towards a yellow tbh.

Gee havent seen wilkinsons missing so many kicks for some time
Toulon is really poor tactically, with all their power and dominance on set pieces, they should have gone for a try. Not going or 50m drop goals.
Ok well he did score one in the end

Steffon armitage banging on the four for selection. He's looking leaner and was everywhere for Toulon, Smith won't be happy about being dumped on his arse.
