GM Mock Draft review Empty GM Mock Draft review

Post by TM Moot Tue 01 May 2012, 8:30 am

Thought it might be interesting to see how our picks in the GM Mock Draft compared with the real thing.
I'll let others add their own if they want, but i was surprisingly not too bad (as GM of the Colts and Jets).. Very Happy

Indianapolis Colts
Round 1, Pick 1 (1st) - Andrew Luck - Went first to Colts
Round 2, Pick 2 (34th) - Fletcher Cox - Up 22 places, went 12th to Eagles
Round 3, Pick 1 (65th) - Brandon Washington - Down 135 places, went 200th to Eagles

New York Jets
Round 1, Pick 16 (16th) - Michael Floyd - Up 3 places, went 13th to Cardinals
Round 2, Pick 15 (47th) - Brandon Weedon - Up 25 places, went 22nd to Browns
Round 3, Pick 14 (79th) - Kelechi Osemele - Up 18 places, went 61st to Ravens

Just worked out that overall I was worse off after all, thanks to Mr. Washington mad

Pittsburgh Steelers
28th pick - Vontaze Burflict

I think that says all about my eye for an NFL player Sad

I got Barron (pick 28, went pick 7) and Lavonte David (pick 92, went pick 58) for the Ravens.
However my Rams picks all went lower than I had taken them.

I took Nick Perry at 24 after a trade up... Packers got the same guy at there original spot.

I took David Wilson at 60 and he went number 32 to the Giants... I did well

Eagles
Round 1, pick 15 - Michael Brockers, he went 14 to the Rams
Round 2, pick 40 - Alshon Jeffery, he went 45 to Chicago
Round 2, pick 46 - Harrison Smith, he went 29 to Vikings

Houston
Round 1, pick 26, - Mohammed Sanu, he went 83 to Cincy!
Round 2, pick 58, - Kendall Reyes, he went 49 to San Diego
Round 3, pick 89, - Josh Chapman, he went 136 to the Colts

I was way better for the Eagles than Houston!

I was picking for Carolina:-

Round 1, pick 9: Quinton Coples. He went 16th to NYJ.
Round 2, pick 51: Alfonzo Dennard. He went 224th to New England!!
Round 3, pick 88: Marvin McNutt. He went 194th to Philly.

I did not do well.... In my defence though it's hard to make allowances for players idiotically getting themselves arrested for allegedly thumping a police officer 3 days before the draft.... Damn you Alfonzo Dennard!!!!

Laugh Yeah he did, but in fairness we started this back in February before the Combine had even taken place.
