Mayweather v Cotto & card Empty Mayweather v Cotto & card

Thought this was a really good card. Quintana fight was great, Vargas boring but Alvarez v Mosely was also very good on the undercard. Cotto came ready and gave Floyd more trouble than I have seen in a long time. Really good fight. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Had it 116-112 personally or 117-112. May v Pac isn't happening but if Pac can dispose of Bradley in convincing fashion then the sport will scream for it after seeing Mayweather win but be in a competative fight.

I think the nature of Pacquiaos performance will have a strong bearing on Mayweathers enthusiasm for the fight.

I honestly think Manny will tear Bradley apart which makes me think the fight will have to wait.

I genuinely believe they both want it. Its Arum and CockRoach who is the stumbling block. He doesn't believe Pac will win hence he's milking him until the fight becomes inevitable.

Jeez the LA Times had Cotto winning 115-113.

I thought Cotto performed admirably, and pushed the fight really hard as I was expecting and did actually bully Floyd at parts and most certainly a lot of close rounds, but I can't quite believe that anyone could truly have him winning?

No I couldnt see a case for Cotto winning. The start gave him too big a mountain to climb. LA Times is only source I have seen that had him the winner. Most other sources seem to have either 116-112 or 117-111 for Mayweather.

116-112 is probably a fair reflection of the fight as a whole.

He won it 116-112 on my card,

The thing is the rounds he won were pretty easy to see wheras cotto won rounds by pushing the action and work rate making them a little harder to score

Mayweather helped add to the entertainment. He out boxed cotto easily when he boxed and moved but stayed too long on the inside. He managed to math cotto on the inside with punches but his where landing a lot cleaner. Mayweather has done this a couple times now and in his post fight interview he said he wanted the fans to see a good exciting fight

can only be the strong Latin influence, huge community there.

I had it 8-3 Mayweather with 1 round even so 117-112.
