Olympic Boxing
Evening all. As the Olympics are just around the corner who do you see as being the stars to come through? Are you excited and looking forward to it? Finally can it be the shot in the arm that boxing needs at the mo by attracting some new fans?
Personnally I'm looking forward to seeing Anthony Joshua. He seems to be a down to earth kid that is learning quickly.

yes he is. and he's very good apparently as well. it's not only exciting for the olympics, but if he's half decent and turns pro we've got another heavyweight on the scene. he's sparred tyson fury and more than held his own. fury said in and interview he got his arse whipped in the first couple of rounds.

Some of GB's top medal hopes are Welsh aren't they Steffan? Selby, is it, and another lad?
Really hope Joshua does well too as from what little I've seen of him he has a decent skill-set, good bang, and it pretty bloody huge!

Yeah Fred Evans is the other Welsh one. I think Selby has more chance of picking up a medal but who knows. Olympic boxing can be a lottery at timesTopHat24/7 wrote:Some of GB's top medal hopes are Welsh aren't they Steffan? Selby, is it, and another lad?

Selby looks a decent bet for a medal. I'm looking forward to see a bit more of the next generation of boxers.

More boxing tickets will be available on the 16th of may from 11am.
Anthony Joshua is in the super heavy category, meaning he's already carrying 200lbs. He also beat Roberto Cammarelle in the World Champs and was apparently robbed in the final. Seems to be a bit of a buzz around him at the moment.
Evans, Selby, Joshua, Ogogo...looks like a good set of fighters.

Fair play, hadn't seen it. Still quite impressive against a local fighter though
