Its funny that people are more interested in the fact hat Utd lost the title rather than City winning it.

This is a little joke. Geesh.
City won the title and it has been acknowledged.
Do Utd fans really lack a sense of humour?

Deluded, irrational and rather sad. Yep some of the nicer things to be said about Man.ure fans. Wonder if their close neighbours are any different?

Come come now Utd supporters have no reason to be deluded, irrational or sad, do they? Now if one is an Arsenal, City, Chelsea or sadly Liverpool fan then those traits you mention will apply.

Re: IMPORTANT NOTICE: Film on MUTV tonight
dondelero even Sir Alex was having to play the "100 years of history is on our side" card. City may have bought the title but there are plenty of footie fans out there who would have willingly paid good money in their cause just to see the look on Utd's collective faces when they realised their most prized possession had been taken from their grasp.

This is true, but disappointment is part of life and Utd deal with it better than most other clubs, and yes many fans out there use Utd's disappointment as some sort of escapism because they can forget about their own sorry clubs if only for a few days. Now for eg let us look at Arsenal, they finish NINETEEN points behind Utd and yet their fans can celebrate? Apparently even Liverpool fans were celebrating and they finish nearly 40 points behind! Now that is what you call deluded. SAF states facts, even though the rest of the football are caught up in the Gidiness at Man City. City are well behind Utd and probably always will be.

They are behind Uniterd in trophies won, but ahead of United in real fans as 90% United fans are glory hunter sheep.

Apparently this title doesn't count, because city did a very illegal thing, by paying MONEY to pay for players.

It does indeed count for City fans but surely you can appreciate that looking at the bigger picture, it's doesn't really mean much to the likes of Liverpool and Utd, although it maybe a tad irritating.

Considering the pulling power of City now, be prepared to be irritated some more.

Chelsea were all set to dominate but never have. City may do but I reckon some are getting ahead of themselves, IMO.

Chelsea allowed the squad to age. I am pretty sure City won't allow that to happen.

Plus Roman has interfered a little too much. Villa-Boas was brought in to change things and move on from the Terry era but was then sacked.

It'll be interesting to see how City manage with the new rules in place. No way they can currently afford their wage bill with their current structure.

They'll just cheat. Simple.
They've already done it with their sponsorship deals when the FFP rules were first announced, fabricating some ridiculously generous sponsorship from companies owned by MC's owner and his family. Unfortunately Fifa are a mixture of toothless/spineless and too easy to pay off and turn a blind eye to this kind of thing.

Re: IMPORTANT NOTICE: Film on MUTV tonight
A lot of people seem rightly skeptical of whether or not UEFA will enforce these rules or not. For some reason I'm not so much. UEFA have done a lot of work to tie up a few loopholes that may have been used - for example there is no right to a legal challenge at the moment.
UEFA are not quite the same dated and weak body that FIFA are so I have a little more faith in them. It'll be interesting to see how they treat City's sponsorship deal from Etihad as it will be the test of how stringently the rules will be enforced.
Plus remember that teams do not have to break-even until after 2018 and even then there is room for a little manouver.

They can't post a total loss of 38m between 2013 and 2015 I believe. City's losses this part year were around 200m.

Re: IMPORTANT NOTICE: Film on MUTV tonight
That was for 2010/11. The next 2 set of accounts (2011/12) and (2012/13) is the first monitoring period and any sanctions for falling outside the FFP deficit will come into force in 2014/15.
But, a FFP loss is not the same as an Income Statement loss. City might post losses in their accounts but this figure is not transferred directly when assessing FFP.
For example, wages for players purchased before June 1 2010 are not included in the 2011/12 figure, but are for 2012/13. Also 'exceptional' expenditure like for example sacking a manager and paying compensation is also not included.
I don't think I've explained that too well, but it's not a straight forward regulation! Check out Swiss ramble for a better explanation on how City can meet FFP regs here:http://swissramble.blogspot.com/

I'm sure most United fans will console themselves with the 19-2 title scoreline and say City still have a lot of catching up to do.
