Warburton is injury free
Just heard an interview with Sam Warburton on the radio where he claimed that he has put all his injuries behind him and he is ready for the Baa Baas and the Aussie tour. He said that he is keeping up with the other lads in training and his shoulder and knees feel great and he has never felt better and cannot wait to be playing rugby again. I have searched throughout the web for the interview but cannot find it to post a link or do a copy and paste. But lets now hope that he keeps himself fit for the good of Wales and the Blues. I cannot wait to see a titanic battle between Warburton and Pockock down under.

I wouldn't get too excited, you have to remember the rules of the Welsh Squad (since Gats took over)
*two players must pick up injuries in training pre-tour
*then one a week on tour.
*one of the injuries to keep the player out for the majority of the season.
That said it is looking good so far for Wales, as most the injured players are returning (touch wood)

Dim problem, I read it first thing this morning.
Looking to Captain Sam taking on Pocock and Lydiate sything them down, should be a great series of tests. I was at the 2008 Wales v Oz game and Cardiff was buzzing lots of great fans on both sides.

Great news from Warbs, can't wait for him to go up against Pocock. Lydiate will have a big role to play in who wins that battle imo. Can't wait for this tour.

Great news for Wales and Sam.
Can't wait this is going to be an epic series. Must all start making sure we head to chapel on Sundays and pray for a bit of luck.

Good to see Warbs is fit and ready. His injury problems have been a bit worrying. Hopefully they're behind him, especially with the Lions coming up.

He's a 'propper' 7 - none of this 6.5/7.5 rubbish - they are always going to get injured by their style of play - look at Moody.

To be honest that ain't strictly true is it, Easterby would have been classed as a 6.5 in the modern game, yet he was constantly getting knocks etc.

Re: Warburton is injury free
Moody's never been considered a 7 has he? Most suggest he's a 6.5 at best.
Regardless, it's good he's getting back and working up his fitness. These games are always best when all the best guys are available.

We've already seen them face-off with each other. Would be good to see it happen 3 times in a row though! Also, I hope Tips gets a shot at some point. He has been in outstanding form.

You forgot to add that *Gats must play at least one player for 80minutes while they carry and injury thus injuring them for most of the season until the 6N's comes around

Good news if he is actually fit! Hopefully we won't be missing hardly anyone - but then that's means we'll really need to show up well against the Oz and get at least 1 win.

Re: Warburton is injury free
Wasn't he supposed to be super fit before the last 6ns came around?
He maybe fit NOW, But does not nean he will stay fit all through the tour.
P.S. hope he does stay fit to be honest.

He did have an 18 test injury free test run before the 6Ns - Hopefully he will do it again.

I find it a real shame that these top quality international players get injured so often. They have so much to offer but are restricted by their injuries.

Re: Warburton is injury free
I don't rate Warburton that highly from all the games I have seen. Over in Australia we have some cracking 7's Pocock, Gill and Hooper who will progress. Brussouw and McCaw and Latimer are a different class too. I also think Wales would be better off with that Tipuric boy from Opsreys. Maybe having to play Tipuric will be a blessing as he will step up. Personally as an Aussie I wouldn't mind seeing Warburton take the field. It shows how weak England and Ireland are at 7, that Warburton gets the praise he does in the UK, thought the Kiwis have been excited about him, but you never know when they are just patronising the British teams.
