make shift tourny - clubs and international sides
Was thinking about this whilst reading the cl v world cup thread.
Imagine a smallish tourny which included 4 internationl teams and 4 club teams.
Wouldnt that be really interesting? lol or not!!
Now obviously we dont want any team affected so lets see if we can come up with the best 8 teams to compete that dont include players from each others teams.
my top 8
Man u
barca
Madrid
Man city
Holland
Germany
Uraguay
France
I will admit to not taking to much thought into this- but thats not a bad 8..

Manchester United would lose Evra.
Barcelona would lose Abidal.
Real Madrid would lose Benzema, Ozil and Khedira.
Manchester City would lose De Jong, Nasri.
Apart from perhaps Abidal, because of his health, they're all pretty key players, so it obviously would never work.
Interestingly, Infostrada have actually tried to come up with a list which incorporates both European club sides and international sides to work out who is the best.
This is the top 20.

So he did.
That wasn't particularly publicised.
