Will Fognini derail Djoker again?
Looking at Djokovic's draw, the first obstacle that comes to mind is Federer in the semis. However, a closer inspection reveals a huge threat in the quarterfinals.
Djoker could play one of 4 possible opponents in the quarters. Three of them are Tsonga, Simon and Wawrinka who he would be favourite against. However, the fourth possible opponent is a name that can cause a Djoker fan to panic.
Yes, it is none other than Fognini.
The same Fognini who gave a walkover to Djoker in 2011 French Open quarters, which many have claimed to be the single reason for Djoker losing to Federer in the semis and missing out on a calendar grandslam.
Have the stars conspired against Djokovic? Assume that Fognini wins two more matches, reaches the quarters and then gives a walkover to Djoker again. Djoker may then have to play Federer again in the semis in what will be an exact repeat of 2011. In this case, will the ghosts of 2011 come back to haunt Djoker against Federer?
A French Open, already deliciously dramatic with possibilities just got more intriguing.

A walkover never lost a match to anyone. But I fancy Foggy kicking the lights out of Djoko, but doubt its going to happen.

Amazing out Foggy has this good run at RG but you never hear of him otherwise...you can bet Novak would love the possibility of playing him!

But what if he doesn't play and gives a walkover? How much would that upset Djoker?

You are right, Djoko would love to smash him up on QF as a vendetta, as for walkover, except if Foggy has a personal problem with Djoko, don't think he's going to walkover again. Would be wierd!

Actually would love to see that happen again and see how Djoko would react to such situation, either he would come back and unleash the anger on Fed or take it a serious like a kid and let Fed unleash his beautiful game on him.

He'd do what he did last time; benefit from the rest, train well and spend plenty of time on the practise court.

Boy, there is a french open going on and the center of attention is not fed, nadal, or Novak but the thread that I wrote a year ago. You see some of us are born great and others have greatness foisted upon us.
Here is my prediction if Fogi plays Djoko in the quarters, straight sets with at least one bagel or breadstick. And yes Novak would not be happy with him.
