It would be an injustice if Alex McLeish walked into another manager position
I'd feel a bit begrudged I wasn't looked at first and my CV only stretches as far fm2012

Olly, I read the other day that Neil Lennon was under consideration. What are your views on the Ginger Ninja taking charge?

I wouldn't be against it, but I wouldn't be for it. It will never happen. He is fine at Celtic I think, plus he would be a gamble for us because no offence to Scottish football but it doesn't take too much to win the title up there

He's a nutcase Lennon, given the standard of refereeing in the Premiership last season, if it were to continue he would face a touchline ban every other week
I'd like to see Holloway back in the Premier League

No no no no no to Holloway.
He is a terrible tactical manager, he has no plan B which is why Blackpool got relegated from the Prem. Teams worked them out after half a season. Just god not Holloway

Re: Norwich City's new manager
McLeish spent last season drastically cutting Aston Villa's wage bill, while keeping them in the Premiership. Thanks to McLeish, the club is in a better finanancial position.
"Lambert is expected to be given money to spend after McLeish spent last season reducing what he described as an "astronomical" wage bill.
It is expected that he will be able to reinvest any money he generates from the sale of current Villa players.
McLeish departed Villa on 14 May after only 11 months in charge."

I can see how you would think that as a fan of Norwich (I'd be the same and agree with the points you make) but from the neutral it would be brilliant to have him back

Re: Norwich City's new manager
Holloway is an excellent manager in my view. When he went to Blackpool they were expected to drop into League One and instead reached the PL. In the PL they punched way above their weight and alot of folk would have had them down by Easter if they are being honest. In the end the overall quality caught up with them but boy did they go down fighting.
Alot of managers don't have a plan B. Tony Pulis being one but what he has had is sufficient backing by his board in terms of available funds, something Holloway never really had.
You could do a lot worse that Ollie, Olly!

We could also do a lot better
I just think after Lambert who mixes it up (started with 7 different formations this season) we need someone who has the ability to also change it up

We'll see how good Lambert is next season at Villa. Can he replicate that brilliance at Villa Park? Horses for courses and all that...

As much as it pains me to say this I think he will be a success there. He is a winner. Pure and simple.

Villas-Boas was favourite for the Liverpool job with bookies.
Solskjaer was favourite for the Aston Villa job with bookies.

Great piece on him! Looks like he plays good football and is a good manager! Exactly what we need, although I must admit I didn't think we would get him as I didn't think he would see us as 'big' enough

Re: Norwich City's new manager
Yes but he was never 1/7 Crimey. Big difference. It could be a collective bookmaker swerve in the hope that the big hitters lump on it (you'd be surprised how much money is wagered on these markets) but I doubt it.

Re: Norwich City's new manager
How about Stuart McCall, he's done a good job at Motherwell.
Can't see Lennon getting a job in England unless it's with Leicester. They seem to be in the same league position as when the sacked Craig Leven. [and spent about £20 million in between.]
I suppose Terry Butcher is a bridge too far.

I think he is a good appointment, he has never had any money to spend at clubs he has been manager, will he have any at Norwich Olly?, and always gets his teams playing decent football based on a good defence

I should imagine he will have a decent kitty. We spent £3.5 million on Ryan Bennett and £2 million on Jonny Howson in January so I think he has money for those types of signings yes. We do have a wage structure in place though

Re: Norwich City's new manager
I have to admit I am impressed with McNally. This time last week we were finding out about the whole Paul Lambert thing, now we have our new man in place. That is what I call fast work and it gives Hughton a chance to come in and get his transfer targets and to get a full pre season with the players! #fastwork
