Will Hayve v Chisora go ahead?
Will Haye v Chisora go ahead?
Lots of pressure on them now, Warren is suing or threatening to sue everyone short of himself. Will it happen?

Of course it will happen. The WBA/O are supporting it. The BBBC has links with the WBC so its no surprise Snr Jose is doing what he's paid to do.
No laws have been broken and no rules either.

Money talks, I think it will probably go ahead. I was of the understanding that loads of tickets have been sold?
As the munich "fight" illustrated, people like Warren, Haye etc are above the law.
Also, I'm not really sure what the BBBC are complaining about, under EU law, luxbox have just as much right as them to stage a fight anywhere in Europe.

of course it will go ahead. theres only 2 problems, warrens license getting revoked, but that threat has put him off, and luxemburg fearing expultion, but even if they back out someone will put it on

But will Luxembourg refuse to license them if they are pressured? Or will warren grease them like a chip pan?

Apparently 28,000 tickets have been sold. And Haye/Warren/Chisora have done nothing to contravene EU laws. They have just upset the BBBC as they want to control everything.

Probably right. Frank hasn't actually broken any rules has he? Thing I don't get is, if we have a group of European bodies that license fights, and they are a union of some kind, why don't they just have a rule that if one body refuses to license a fighter fromt heir country, all the other bodies agree to meet on the subject of whether or not they should be licensed in another, before licensing them? Surely that would have stopped all this?

Interestingly Saurland are part of the promotional team for this fight. Povetkin is fighting Rahman on the undercard. Too many powerful promoters involved. The commissions will bend over and take it.

If Saurland are in then all palms will be greased (joke, please no lawsuits Kalle) BBBC will prob issue an apology and make Warren man of the year too, haha

Re: Will Haye v Chisora go ahead?
I suspect it will. What it looks like to me is that the BBBC are trying to do whatever they can to stop it that wont incur a lawsuit. Hence trying to get the EBU to expel Luxembourg etc. But if either the EBU or BBBC do leave themselves open to a lawsuit and lose the damages they would have to pay could be catastrophic to them. this is multi million pound fight that damages could result in tens of millions. Its probably not the worth risk, especially as it goes outside the world of sport and into actual legal rights and freedoms in law.
I think the BBBC and EBU would be better to just concentrate on ammending their own rules to prevent this kind of thing happening in the future.

Given that, according to the likes of Strongback, it does nothing to prove Haye's HW credentials, what's the difference whether it goes ahead or not? Appparently Haye isn't going to acheive anything as A/ Vitali will refuse to fight him anyway or B/ He gets beaten and slinks off back into retirement.
Either way, Strongy creams himself and hopefully calms down a bit

haye is fighting chisora because after the brawl it becomes a lucrative fight. got nothing to do with vitali or haye wanting to be champ again. haye is a business man and a prizefighter, even his fans must know this i think. if he provides value for money entertainment they like him, if he stinks the place out like with harrison and wlad they dont. hes taking this fight because its a good last payday and he wants to go out with his stock higher than after the wlad loss. im sure he believes he win ko chisora

I dont thinkit will go ahead. Its not worth it. They have realised now that they are risking their careers doing this and frankly I dont think the public care about them. Its not even being televised on a mainstream station. Says it all.

Re: Will Haye v Chisora go ahead?
Haye doesn't care that much about his career, past this fight. Chisora should, as he is still young. But he is going to make over a mill and probably wants the money too.

The public don't care at all, they care so little they've been shelling out to go and see it.

More promoter waffle. Id be surprised if they have even sold a quarter of the tickets for this sham. Rubbish fight between two phoneys.

Warren is hardly going to put his neck on the line for a fight that isn't selling is he?

Re: Will Haye v Chisora go ahead?
Think the fight is almost certain to go ahead, there is actually little the EBU or BBBoC can do to stop it because no legal rules have been broke. The only way it does not go ahead is is someone like the Luxemborg board lose their nerve but given Frank would sue them into the ground can't see that happening.

Apparently 5 other european bodies are willing to sanction the fight if the LBF pull out.

The person who said this is someone who's working for Warren. It could be just talk.Imperial Ghosty wrote:Apparently 5 other european bodies are willing to sanction the fight if the LBF pull out.

Who knows, only time will tell but they sound very confident it will be going ahead.

Re: Will Haye v Chisora go ahead?
Well, Warren has said somewhere that the fight will go ahead regardless if the LBF withdraw their sanctioning or not. Warren will always sound confident in public, behind closed doors I'm sure he's had some doubts.
