Tony Palladino took a hat-trick for Derbys yesterday, including Ramnaresh Sarwan.

Warks making a royal hash of things at Durham. Need the weather to save them.
Re: County Championship Round 10 Discussion Thread
I was down at Chester le Street today. Very entertaining day of cricket, plenty of wickets and some good batting. Warks did well to skittle Durham cheaply this morning, Woakes was impressive but Durham folded without much resistance. Then Chopra and Westwood batted watchfully, but with a bit of luck as Rushworth was the best bowler on show for Durham by far and was very unlucky early on. Westwood and Chopra both fell to poor shots (Westwood hitting a Harmy long hop to Colly, and Chopra fenced one to the keeper down the leg side) which was the turning point as no-one else really got in. Ambrose was again watchful, but Durham took away his scoring areas and he struggled to get the ball away. Clarke played another poor shot to be castled, and then Woakes looked very fluent (although he was helped to get in by some poor Borthwick bowling), but he was another to fence one behind down the legside which was a poor way to give it away, albeit a bit unlucky. Then some entertaining batting form Wright especially got them near to 200 but Rushworth got a well deserved 5 fer and was very impressive all day. It was also my first time see Ben Stokes bowl properly and after a ropey first spell he came back well and he would certainly be a third seamer for many CC sides, and if he keeps developing he will be a crucial cog in England's ODI wheel in the near future. Young Harrison also bowled well, and Harmy was trademark Harmy. I didn't see the start of the Durham 2nd innings as I had to leave, but by all accounts Woakes was the star of the show and looked very impressive again.

Middlesex have really gotten a move on, presumably there's rain predicted? Either that or the bowling was particularly poor. They've made quite an impressive start to their first division campaign. Rogers has added some real steel to their batting line-up, and Denly seems to be regaining some of the touch which saw many tout him as the obvious replacement for Strauss. They are probably another genuine wicket-taker (could Rolland-Jones be it?) and importantly a quality spinner (Rayner does a job, no more) from being a genuine championship challenging side...

Spot on. I think the batting is as good as any line-up - Rogers, Robson (scored plenty of runs under the radar last year), Denly, Malan, Morgan, Berg and an England style tail of people that are pretty good with the willow.
Murtagh is a top Championship bowler, whilst they benefit from getting Steve Finn a fair bit. Roland-Jones is a good line bowler too though a little inconsistent at the moment. But I'm not really convinced by Corey Collymore (either in his WI days or now), and the spin is still a bit thin.

He is in a rich vein of form atm, as he blew away the Notts top 5 in a CB40 game. Maybe one to watch for the rest of this season! (And that included Jimmy! He must be a quality bowler. )

Hampshire Cricket @hantscricket
There's still a problem area of the outfield, which means there will be a FOURTH inspection at 3.15pm. Still no rain all day!
No rain, yet no play, what a disgrace!

jimbo, if there is a part out of the outfield that is a state then you cant play.....you dont know what the problem area is, it could be the run ups, or it could be right where a fielder usually stands..
if its under water or boggy you cant play...not at county level anyway.
