The best five fights that can be made in boxing right now? Empty The best five fights that can be made in boxing right now?

Ok,

What are the best five fights that can be made in boxing and why?

Can be entertainment value, technique, or just two quality foes.

Pac v Mayweather - for the sake of the sport, although my interest peaked 2 years ago.
Froch v Kessler - Pure entertainment.
Martinez v Chavez Jr. - To end the duck
Guillermo Rigondeaux v Nonito Donaire - Quality
Haye v Chisora - For sheer contraversy and too spark debate

Top of my head picks, open to all manner of disagreement.

Vit V Wlad (Though it of course wouldn't happen.)
Frampton V Quigg (Desperate for this!)
Fury V Price - Or for both of them to face someone truly testing...
Harrison - Fury!! Yes I know...
The big one...

I was thinking this. Should do a separate thread on UK based fights you would love to see! Mine are:

Frampton vs Quigg
Price vs Fury
Brook vs Khan
Froch vs Cleverly

I think this one is already in the pipeline.

The winner will surely have to fight Martinez

Gamboa vs Broner- stylistically could pan out a lot like mayweather-pacquiao and would be explosive as both have a lot of power

Rios vs Maidana- fun

Golovkin vs Martinez- best 2 middleweights imo and could be a torch passing

Alvarez vs Cotto- would be a great fight and would ascend Alvarez to world class material if he won

Brook vs khan- interesting matchup and biggest domestic fight available

i'd agree with all of those! id actually like to see fury vs harrison for some strange, unfathomable reason.
id like marquez to get another shot at manny. but i was to know the outcome would be another robbery i'd save everyone the hassle.

i'd like - cotto vs alvarez.
ward vs dawson - boring fight but great for ward's p4p status.
froch vs pascal (if pascal wins a lhw title)

With you on those Sean - Khan might do a little better with Brook than expected but I don't see how Khan would handle him to a victory.

Froch might struggle again with Kessler - I want to see the Froch we saw last week and not the one that lost to Ward.

You should follow this up with a "worst 5 fights that could be made" topic.

I bet Harrison vs Fury gets on there.

Sorry Alex, didn't see.

I wouldn't watch Fury vs Harrison unless it was free.

Like on channel 5 and there was nothing else on. If my little girl was staying I'd rather watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on repeat.

Imagine the fight! Harrison chasing Fury around the ring pretending to throw "that big left" that he's only actually done anything with once, and Fury in anticipation throws up that REALLY TIGHT DEFENSE and knocks himself out.

Salito vs Broner would be a cracker I think. See how Broner deals with someone who can get hit with a sledgehammer and still come forward looking for some more

Uchiyama v Broner
Nishioka v Mares
Donaire v Rigondeaux
Moreno v Kameda
Viloria v Marquez (This one is the best fight that can be made in the sport right now imo.)

Agreed, I would love this fight to happen, there no-one really at 130 for broner except Asian fighters and they aren't going to go to America. Salido is tough as nails and is truly world class. It would be a great yard stick to see where broner. If Broner does what Gamboa did i.e, make him look like a novice then he is p4p material now. A tight victory would show he is world class and a loss would show us that he might not be the successor to mayweather atm but won't do him too much harm. He has yet to take a flush shot on the chin from a elite level fighter
