Whilst enjoying this first match I had an idea. As well as enjoying my punts on each match I could enjoy a beer from each country playing. This is where I need your assistance people.

I can think of beers for some countries but not all. Please could I have some suggestions for the gaps and possible retailers for said booze. In the words of Richard E Grant "I demand to have some booze!".

Now I will accept shorts or spirits but I would much prefer beers/lagers (Beers if poss), I'm a postman and I will need to get up in the morning.

Poland - Tyskie
Greece - Leffe
Russia - Baltika
Czech Rep - Budvar
Germany - Erdinger
Holland - Orangeboom?
Portugal - Sagres
Denmark - Carlsberg? I'd rather not but couldn't think of anything else
Spain - San Miguel
Italy - Peroni Gran Riserva
Croatia -
Ireland - Guiness
France - Stella Cidre Vino
Ukraine -
Sweden - Kopparberg
England - Fullers ESB

Germany: Erdinger

Spoiler:

It's all good... but try the dark one. OK

If you're doing something like this it's a shame Belgium didn't qualify, although maybe it's a good thing for the people expecting their post in a morning.

That's right, but it wouldn't have been anywhere near my Belgian choice. Not while the likes of Leffe, Duvel, Rochefort and Chimay are gracing us with their presence.

But Belgium didn't qualify...

Er, Baltika for the Russian one? It wasn't great but we didn't find any Russian beers that were.

Sweden = Kopparberg (if you like cider). Otherwise, Pripps Blue, Mariestad or Spendrups.

But you've picked it for France. Laugh

No it was me that picked it for France, thought it was better than yucky Kronenberg. Wine it is for the French then. No loss though and as you both say Stella wouldn't even get in the conference for Belgian Beers.

I'm going to pick Leffe for Greece because Marc Degryse used to play for Belgium and I like Leffe.

Any ideas where I'll get the Russian or Portuguese ones?

Pretty sure Waitrose do Erdinger.

Oh my wife says there's a Russian store near us, maybe I can quiz them for Ukranian and Croat options.

Thanks people.
