Your Perfect Champ.
As you know we have had many WWE Champions in the past and i'm sure plenty more are in the pipeline, so i have been thinking and i would like you guys to come up with your best WWE Champion. Below are some questions to consider to help you if you need them as i am interested to hear from you guys:
Do you want your Champ to be heel or face?
Do you want a high flyer, powerhouse or even mat technician? Maybe another specialist of some sort?
What sort of Mic skills do they have?
What age would you like your champion to be?
What sort of character would they have?
What sort of finisher? Obviously this would depend on thier style of Wrestling.
I await your responses!

Re: Your Perfect Champ.
WWE already have plenty of upper mid carders who would make great champions if only they were booked correctly. Sheamus had the potential to be a dominant world champ but was booked to make him look like a coward, Swagger had the skill and amatuer wrestling background to be a credible champ but they made him too goofy to be taken seriously; CM Punk has the all round ability to be a phenomenal champ but WWE don't seem to like him, at least not as a champion. Then we have Brodus Clay who despite his body shape could be a real powerhouse and monster heel and of course Wade Barrett and finally Seth Rollins in FCW. Personally I would like WWE to use their heels in a more aggressive, ruthless vein much like HHH at the peak of his career. Faces should be all about the the prize of being world champion not just pandering to the people and being popular. Face's should triumph great wrestling and sportsmanship not just a Cena clone "I'm here everyweek because I love the fans" blah blah blah

Perfect champ?
Hmm. Let me think.
Around 6'5, 275 lbs, nice muscular build, fairly dark skin, great as face or heel, and electrifingly funny on the mic.
In fact that reminds me of someone... THE ROCK.

Do you want your Champ to be heel or face?
Has to be a face for me, but someone who can work as a heel or tweener, something of a cross between Austin and HHH.

It needs a mixture, someone with a Kurt Angle style moveset. Technical, powerful but has the brawler technique as well.
What sort of Mic skills do they have?
Jericho mixed with The Rock, they are the perfect examples from my era of perfect talkers, maybe mix a bit of Flair in as well.
What age would you like your champion to be?
25-34, gives you hope that the will be around for a long time, unlike Batoaster who was kicking 40 when he was first champ.
What sort of character would they have?
Depends alot on the look and build, needs someone who can play anything, monster, coward, vulnerable, comedic. Probably a cross between Austin, Flair, Dibiase and Foley.
What sort of finisher? Obviously this would depend on thier style of Wrestling.
I'd want a couple, something high impact that fires up the crowd and can be hit out of nowhere, and RKO/Stunner.
Gotta have a good submission, like a figure four or chicken wing.
And something high risk, top rope!

Re: Your Perfect Champ.
In all seriousness...
I personally prefer heel champions.
Great technical wrestler, but has the build to do some big power moves aswell; a bit like Jack Swagger i guess.
Can't beat The Rock on the mic, although i think Punk is best as a heel.
28-35.
A cross between Punk and Orton has a heel; a real evil dark side, but a gutless coward at the same time.
As a finisher i'd personally like a move Big Show does now and again, when he sets up for a Powerbomb, but drops them on their face instead.
I'd also like a Spear as it can be hit out of nowhere, and the Ankle Lock.
Good article mate

The Rock and Brock Lesnar to me are perfect Champions, currently CM Punk and Mr Anderson would be my choice today along with Christian

Re: Your Perfect Champ.
My perfect champ would be a wrestler who could do both heel and face like HHH or Austin.
A mixed style of high flyer and mat technician a mix between AJ Styles, Kurt Angle and a younger Jeff Hardy or Edge.
Would need to be a guy who is funny on the mic like HHH, Micheals or Mr Anderson.
He would be mid 20's to early 30's for peak fitness and physical strength.
A Ric Flair style charcater wrestling God.
Would have a submission finsher like the ankle lock and an explosive one that can come out of nowher like a spear or an RKO and maybe even a 360 splash.

Re: Your Perfect Champ.
I'd disagree on the point that HHH can do face. There's barely a difference to his heel one.
Re: Your Perfect Champ.
Punk in WWE has everything required, the only question is over his finisher.
He's made the Go 2 Sleep one of my favourite moves, but it's a very unlikely move when he's up against anyone over 300lbs, and maybe it's just me but I feel he could do with another finisher, even if it's the Anaconda Vice built up, as another way to beat opponents.
If Punk had the RKO he'd be even better, I think it's what elevated Orton as a heel in that he could hit the move out of nowhere by sneaking up on people, but now Orton is a face it's become predictable.
I'd have Punk keep his Anaconda Vice and GTS, but also give him another move like a Pay Dirt style finisher to defeat bigger opponents.
On the mic, the guy has everything.
