Goal kicking training
Just a random thought I had.
I've never seen it before, but I think a great tool for improving goal kicking would be a set of rugby posts that were half the width of normal ones and also with a cross bar twice as high as it normally is.
Imagine an international or club kicker practicing with that day in day out. If they eventually managed to get a good success percentage using those posts, then they would be so used to using the difficult posts that it should massively increase their success percentage using regular posts on match days.

I'd guess there is always just one place the eyes of the player wants it anyway. One point - and when in practice he's getting it through the posts but still not on target (where he wants it to sail through) then in training those are no successes and he has to go on trying to perfect his techniques. I'm not so certain narrower posts would aid the process as the point he's aiming for will still be that elusive where-I-want-it-to-be point.
