Hi from Rava
Hello everyone. I will be discussing mostly Rugby Union on here and staying in contact with the many friends made on the BBC 606 Site.
I am an Ulster Rugby supporter and I am nervously looking forward to the game on Sunday against Northampton Saints.
Cheers,
Rava

Re: Hi from Rava
Thanks, Human Windmill.
If you can be patient then I predict there will be a mass influx of Rugby Union followers in here after BBC 606 closes down.
A few of us post in what is known as The Virtual Pub, so I reckon they will want to keep that going. I notice a few are already posting in here.

Hi Rava.
Pub threads can be set up if required. We already have a few dotted around the different sections.
Enjoy it!

Re: Hi from Rava
aye, both myself and Ospreylian are the rugby mods.
And yep I'd say this place lends itself to a pub environment. There are other pubs dotted about the place on some of the other sport sections so all's good on that front

Re: Hi from Rava
Absolutely - if you want a pub thread of some sort, we can either make it a sticky or a subsection.
The one thing I will say though, is that the rugby board is subsection heavy already - thats something that you rugby posters will have to discuss between you, in how you want it to look.

Re: Hi from Rava
Thanks Guys,
to be honest, we discuss more than just rugby in the pubs so maybe it doesn't need to fit within that area.. can be discussed indeed.
maybe you guys can help me. when I signed up, I set up my email address for work for notifications etc. I want to change that but when I go into my profile and put the password in, it doesn't show me where I can change my email address.
is this possible?

The admin team can do it for you - if you drop me a pm with your email address that you want to change it to, I will change it (I might have to change your password though as well!)

Does that mean you'd recommend we place the pub somewhere under (for example) the Magners League or leave it on the main Rugby Union bit? I personally think it would be better just to have a continuous pub thread somewhere rather than create a whole new sub section for the pub on its own. I'm not sure if it needs to be a "sticky" either. Can people still find older ongoing threads if there's replies on it?

Re: Hi from Rava
You can have it wherever you want.
If we add a new subsection, the main board will look really cumbersome.
I think we need to have a look at the rugby section altogether.
Maybe just have 2 sections - club and international and then subsections within those?
That would allow general chat to take place outwith the subsections and have the pub thread in the main section as a sticky.
Just a suggestion and by no means the definitive solution! Its up to you guys what you want!
